Was here for the "Taste of Africa 2026" festival. It was awesome. Location was spot on, artists were great and the sfeer was very nice.
It was amazing to view incredible performances by Demmi Dupri and Spandy Andy at the International Children's Festival!!😀😀
The Annie production was very well done. I really enjoyed the strong vocals and the dog was adorable. The show started a bit late so opening doors a bit earlier to get everyone seated would help. It is great to be able to take snacks and drinks in the theatre. It would be nice if people didn't talk in loud voices when the show was on.
Positives: The volunteers are very professional, kind, and helpful. Box office staff are so helpful. There really is no “bad seat” in the audience, even the back row has a good view of the stage. Sound and lighting is always well done and professional quality. The architecture and water features are so cool. The location is great with nearby walking paths. The venue is clean and tidy. Free parking! Negatives: Parking is very limited— especially during the work week and weekends. A lot of parking is restricted for city staff, local businesses, and the court house. Leave a lot of time to find a spot, or be prepared to walk. Ushers are unable to manage disruptive and rude audience behaviour (such as physically jumping over seat rows, swearing, and inappropriate yelling). At other venues, these “guests” would be escorted out. Accessibility is disappointing. Not all patrons are able to climb an incline ramp, and only 2 accessible spots out of an audience of 500 is not very inclusive. I saw someone with a broken leg in a cast get routed up the stairs, in the dark, because there were no accessible spots available. There was a lineup out the door and no folded chairs were out for those who needed them.
This a great venue for intimate concerts and other shows. With a capacity of about 500 there is no bad sight lines. The seating is comfortable. Easy access to the theatre. My wife and I have been here a couple of times for concerts and thoroughly enjoyed them. The sound is high quality. The whole experience was great. I would recommend coming here for any show because it’s comfortable and the ambiance is great.
