A & C Transmission Specialists

I accidentally stripped the threads of the transmission aluminium casing while tightening the drain bolt for a routine drain and fill. I explained the situation to Todd and he was willing to help me immediately, and suggested a Helicoil. Todd and his staff were waiting for me the moment the vehicle got towed to the shop, and the process of repair began immediately. After inspection, he determined that a Helicoil is not appropriate as the flange was too thin. Instead of forcing an incorrect fix, he instead pivoted towards a different solution; he used a torque converter bolt to save the taper for the o-ring, machined it down to fit the clearance, and put liquid Teflon as a secondary measure to prevent any chances of leaks. This was done in almost an hour and on top of it all, I was charged at an extremely generous price for this specialized custom fix. I went to the right place and would not hesitate to come back and recommend this place to others. Thank you Todd and to your staff for doing an exceptional job!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We were traveling through Edmonton from BC with our truck and camper when our transmission cracked and we lost most of the fluid. We were so blessed to find A&C Transmission Specialists (Allison Transmission)! They got us in quickly, diagnosed and repaired the issue efficiently, and even gave us a safe place to park our camper for the long weekend since we’d been towed in and couldn’t move it. Their staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable — true professionals who went above and beyond to get us back on the road safely. Highly recommend this shop to anyone needing honest and expert transmission service!

Gave them my company truck to diagnose. It took longer than expected to get a response, but Todd was very kind and apologetic, and he didn't charge me for any of the work done as a result. This is a company that goes above and beyond to make things right, in the very rare chance they go wrong. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of services.

Todd was willing to help me out right away. Great customer service .
