Stylish, upbeat barbershop with a welcoming atmosphere, capable staff, and a polished club-style feel. A dependable place for a quality cut, good conversation, and a comfortable experience from start to finish. For a fuller picture — Tommy Gun’s original barbershop in Edmonton’s Brewery District delivers a barbershop experience that feels both energetic and easygoing. Located near Loblaws City Market in one of the city’s more modern retail hubs, it combines a contemporary men’s grooming concept with the familiar comfort of a neighbourhood shop. The team made a strong impression for being personable, steady, and clearly experienced. There is a confidence to the service that helps you relax quickly — they listen well, follow instructions carefully, and take pride in getting the details right. That kind of consistency matters, especially when you want a cut that looks clean without unnecessary flourishes or guesswork. The result felt professional, trustworthy, and easy to come back to. The shop itself has that signature Tommy Gun’s style: clean finishes, a lively atmosphere, and a slightly elevated barbershop feel that makes the visit more enjoyable than a basic haircut errand. It manages to feel modern and fun without becoming overwhelming, so whether you are there to unwind quietly or enjoy a bit of conversation, the space works well. Waiting areas are comfortable, the environment feels well kept, and the overall tone is welcoming. It is the kind of place that suits regular maintenance cuts just as well as a more intentional grooming appointment. A strong choice in Oliver / Brewery District for anyone looking for a skilled, reliable barber experience in a setting that feels current, social, and well run. Parking / access Parking in the Brewery District can occasionally take a moment to sort out, but the area offers convenient options including nearby free surface parking and paid heated underground indoor parking, which is especially appreciated during Edmonton winters. Kid-friendly / family-friendly Well suited for teens, dads, families bringing older children in for a haircut, and anyone looking for a comfortable, approachable grooming experience. The atmosphere is lively but welcoming, and the staff presence helps the space feel relaxed rather than intimidating. Best for children who are reasonably comfortable in a busier barbershop setting. Wheelchair accessibility The Brewery District complex offers step-free access, and the general retail area is easier to navigate than many older storefronts. Interior movement may feel somewhat tighter during busier times depending on seating and client flow, so quieter periods may offer the most comfortable experience.

honestly can’t recommend Abigail enough. From the moment I sat in her chair, she made me feel comfortable and listened to exactly what I wanted. It’s rare to find someone who not only has incredible talent but also genuinely cares about making sure you leave happy. Her attention to detail, precision, and professionalism really stand out. She takes her time, never rushes the appointment, and makes sure every part of the haircut is perfect. You can tell she takes pride in her work, and it absolutely shows in the final result. On top of being an amazing barber, Abigail is kind, friendly, and easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for someone who is skilled, professional, and truly passionate about what they do, she’s the one to book with. Thank you, Abigail, for consistently doing such an incredible job. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for one of the best barbers around!

I came in last minute with a mop of hair and I had zero idea of what kind of style would suit my scared hairline best. I asked Sue what she thought would work for me (which turned out extremely poor last time I had a barber go buck wild I looked like I went at it myself with a pair of kitchen scissors) and she went above and beyond from the moment I sat down my worries went out the window. She took immaculate care of me and was so smooth! I nearly fell asleep sitting up. I wont be going anywhere else from now on. Im super happy with the services and atmosphere extremely friendly people here who deserve all the props in the world! Thank you Sue for the wonderful work and amazing haircut.

Got a haircut here today and really enjoyed my experience, they were able to get me in super quickly too. Abigail was my stylist today and she did an incredible job. Couldn't have asked for a better haircut. It was the best haircut I've ever had. She was very kind and professional and we had a great conversation. Will definitely be returning! Thank you Abigail and Tommy Guns!
