I visited Joanna's Food Truck this evening. My first impression was that the food truck itself is really cool-looking and inviting. I ordered the Maple Brisket Spud and asked when ordering if it came with cheese, as I can't have cheese. I was reassured that it didn't. Unfortunately, I ended up waiting almost an hour for my food, which was disappointing. If I had known the wait time beforehand, I probably would have chosen not to order. When my meal arrived, it did have cheese on it. I politely asked if it could be removed, and the staff member was quick to fix the mistake. She also asked what other toppings were okay, and I explained that everything else was fine, I just needed it without cheese. I appreciated how promptly and politely she corrected the order. I've never had a spiral spud before, so I'm not sure what the typical texture is supposed to be. I found mine to be quite dry and crunchy. The Maple Brisket Spud was good, but for me, it wasn't worth the $14 price point, especially with the hour-long wait. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. Better communication about wait times and a little more attention to dietary requests would have made the visit much better. I would definitely recommend giving Joanna's Food Truck a try. Just be sure to ask about the wait times beforehand so you know what to expect.

Amazing brisket at a great price! I got the brisket sandwich box, perfectly seasoned fresh toasted bun and even beef tallow fries a bit heavy on the seasoning salt for the fries amazing slaw as well

Haven’t been to the restaurant but wow was the food truck disappointing. Ordered a serving of Mac N Cheese at the Churchill event and it literally came out as macaroni in a bowl with unmelted shredded cheddar cheese on top. Decided it was okay as it was only $8 but as we started to mix it to melt the cheese noticed old dried macaroni in it. Went back and ask if it was supposed to have sauce. Owner said yes but sauce was not ready yet and to wait 2-3 minutes. 15 minutes later watching them stir the pot of sauce on the stove they ended up microwaving mix cheese in a cup and poured it over mine… photo is what the Mac and cheese looks like after they added sauce to it. The pork belly sandwich was delicious though 😅

Joanne‘s barbeque house is a great location for me, as my place of employment is just a three minute walk away. This is part of the reason I chose to give them a try. So I ordered for pick up. Online ordering was amazing and simple. I ordered two crispy burgers, fries and gravy for lunch for me and my husband. Food was ready to pick up when they said it would be ready.The burger patties tasted crunchy, beefy , and juicy on the inside. Burger toppings were fresh and generous. One order of fries was plenty for the both of us, they were Flavourful, super crispy yet juicy with oil. The gravy was generous, a bit lumpy. Minimal packaging, which is nice. Didn’t need the extra ketchup that was packed in the bag. We both were very saturated with this meal. Hus band was especially impressed with the quality of the meat patty and how satisfied it made him feel.

Ordered fried rice with 3 items. White rice with sprinkled fried onions IS NOT fried rice. Rice itself too mushy, meats were all cold when served. DO NOT RECOMMEND A reply to the owner: I understand you do not like bad review on your restaurant, no one does. Instead of taking it as an offense, you should be taking it as a way to improve your food. First, food should not be served cold if it's meant to be served hot. If you've explained it was not actually fried rice that day then ive missed that, sorry. However, you do not need to talk rudely or be disrespectful to your customers. If you do not know how to interact with customers and provide good customer service even when they have complaints, You should not be running a business. Good day.
