Freson Bros. Fresh Market Stony Plain

Whenever I need something to cook a nice meal, Freson’s Bros is where I go to get fresh produce, meats, and all the spices I would use. It’s open from 6:00 am and closes at 11:00 pm. So it’s open for 17 hours. This morning I’m making ham and bean soup for the day, plus I grabbed some extra stuff as I browsed through the store. When I arrived at the checkout, Blessie was helping me out. She asked if I wanted a bag, and I said I will take a paper one. Then I proceeded to pack my groceries into the bag. She said “ I’ll get that very politely, so I said, thanks for your help. Then i decided to buy a reusable strong bag since the groceries were too heavy for a paper bag. Blessie was a big help and her friendliness was genuine. This was my second time in this grocery shop and I must say I was amazed !!! As soon as you walked in you can tell this is a different experience then other grocery stores . The the store the entrance is wide airy and clean. After you get though the doors you enter to the produce department that is clean and well maintained. The vegetables are beautiful displayed ! The have seafood area and butcher area. They make alot of fresh sourdough breads and other fresh items. They have a hit and cold deli ! The have a fresh salad bar and restraunt area where they have events like Ukraine buffets. This store has alot of small vendor products alberta made. The people are friendly and helpful. This is one grocery store that will keep me coming back !! Don't walk run and check this place out !! I will definitely be returning ☺️

I love shopping at the Stony Plain Freson Bros.! They carry so many local products, with consistently fresh produce and plenty of organic options. Their garden selection in spring and summer is fantastic, too. What really sets this store apart is the staff. Everyone is kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful—always a smiling face and eager to assist. I also appreciate that they hire students; they’re always awesome to deal with. I highly recommend the Stony Plain Freson Bros. to anyone looking for a great place to shop!

Excellent food quality every time! The bread here is outstanding—always fresh and very high quality. As a fan of local meat, I really appreciate their selection of Alberta beef; you can often find a great deal if you keep an eye out. Also, a huge shout-out for their beef patties—they are incredibly tasty and a must-try. Definitely my go-to spot for top-notch local products!
