Mortada's Your Independent Grocer St Albert

I’m a writer. You see, I search high and low for them good prices. Further, I seek quality. Wal Mart meats are no longer suitable for health, anyones health; not only, the cuts are absolutely brutal and expensive, horrid cuts of steak and the ground is always brown in the center. Costco is.. frankly more expensive than Mortada’s Independent at this point. At SaveOns, you are best to spend $30-40 on a small roast, $75+ for 3 basic striploin, and 15$ for a 1lb of beef. Sobeys is even more expensive than SaveOns. And Superstore is as bad as Walmart on their cut quality and prices. I got a STOVEFUL of red meat for UNDER $50 at Mortada’s! I got three various cuts, and those steaks are so thick I ended up cutting them into 7 servings. Plus a whole ROAST for nearly $10! These are LEGENDARY UNHEARD OF prices. Look at the middle of that ground—its perfectly red. No spraying or coating like many major chains do to their meats then you get home and package it and the entire insides are brown because the outsides just have a spray coating to make it super red. The insides of your ground should be as red as the outsides, thats when you know you have quality fresh ground. And for 20$ for 4lb?! I say make me life long spender. Now I hope my review ensures more of my good St. Albert folk spend more money at Mortada’s for their meat purchases, and I hope it makes lots of money for the owners and I pray they keep their UNBEATABLE prices the way they are. Unbelievable. I live in poverty but I live and eat like a KING with these prices. Only at Mortada’s.

This store has the most polite staff! Everything is clean throughout the store. They often have great deals on meat and bakery products. The aisles are spacious and well-organized, making it super easy to find what you need

Had nice staff there who were easy to talk to and were polite but the prices were a bit hefty for some things but overall pretty good place (Made a spelling error)
