Royal Indian Supermarket & Kitchen Edmonton

My husband has visited this place and brought snacks before and this weekend even I accompanied him to this place. Its a gujrati based shop with food and sitting area included. What i understood is that they make fresh food and serve you. We loved their nylon dhokla and chat papri we order to have. And for takeout order a bunch of stiff which pictures also i dont have. Vada pav, samosa plate, paneer patties, jalebi . All food was good at taste. Except the jalebi we rrally had lot expectations for it, but looks like they dont make fresh. Not sure if they make it daily. As it was smelling of old oil and a punjent smell of oil and dint taste good. Thats the only reason i have given 4 stars. I mean the lady at the front counter could have told that we dont have fresh batch of jalebi we wouldnt have ordered it, woukd have got some other sweets. Expecting better next time on sweets. We also got some groceries and package snacks which were just like back home.

I keep coming back, and honestly, the Sev Puri and Samosa Chaat have a lot to do with it — absolutely authentic and packed with flavour every single time. But what truly elevates the experience is the people. Aman and Vishwa at the counter bring such a warm, positive energy that it genuinely changes how the food feels. They’re attentive, cheerful, and clearly take pride in what they do. That kind of attitude is rare and it doesn’t go unnoticed. They are the face of this place, and the business is lucky to have them. Keep up the wonderful work — it means more than you know!

I recently attended a friend's housewarming event catered by Royal Indian Supermarket. The live masala dosa, medu vada, and sambar were absolutely delicious and tasted authentic. A special thanks to Bhargav and Punit for personally overseeing the entire event and ensuring everything ran smoothly. Great food, great service, and a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!
