Sunterra Market

I tried the ribs with potatoes and veggies that were ready to go under the heat lamp. The entire meal cost over 26$ including the orange juice, which is pretty expensive for a quick ready to eat meal. The ribs were quite good, juicy and the sauce was great. The veggies were mediocre.

What happened to Sunterra’s? I used to love the baked goods the Landrum store. I purchased a strawberry rhubarb crumble pie, I was hesitant to buy it because it looked different. I asked the baker if it was previously frozen, rather than answering yes or no she told me about the temperature in the refrigerator. I thought I would take a chance and buy it anyway. The pie Is tasteless and the crust is mushy and doughy and mushy. The sliced bread that I bought had holes throughout the loaf. I called the store manager, and he said that there has been no changes. The quality of food since this new ownership has gone down, it is such a shame. I used to love the baked goods at Sunterra’s Landrum store. I want to love this place and have given it quite a few chances, but after having gotten food poisoning from the dolmades and purchasing a veggie tray with rotten cucumbers and mouldy broccoli, I think I’m done. If this is the standard they upheld at their downtown store, I can understand why they ended up closing! Disappointed.

I was very excited to visit this market for the first time because of the advertising about fresh food and fresh rewards. I imagined it would be similar to Freson Bros., where you can eat on-site. However, after asking a few questions, I was met with very poor customer service. The only way to eat warm food is by using a microwave, which is fine, but I did not feel comfortable staying when my questions about the available options were answered in a way that showed little willingness to provide good customer service.

For all the people giving bad service reviews just want to say get used to it. Thats just how it is there . The staff is always confused and slow and some can’t even speak English . Some are rude some seem tired and there’s mostly confusion going on. Deli and cash all the same . It will never change. I would rather complain about the totally ridiculous prices. One pakora costs 2.20$ ONE PAKORA. Have some decency even with the increase in everything this is insane.
