I made an appointment at lashup, the owner insisted I needed to prepay before I arrived, the original amount was 210$ which is already extremely high, considering I don’t get a very big set, she gave me a 20% discount which seemed nice. I prepaid 160$ through e-transfer and was told I would not have to pay a single thing after my appointment, word for word. Then my appointment was done, one of the workers insisted I payed an additional 80 something dollars leaving my total to 230 something. Completely removing my additional refund, and adding more to the costs. I told the worker it wasn’t right, but I paid anyways to avoid any further inconvenience. My lashes looked good leaving the salon, but then after one sleep, half the spikes on my lashes had fallen out. Incredibly unhappy considering the 230$ I paid. During the service the worker was also rude, and talking poorly about the owner saying how she wasn’t fond of her and blaming her for undercharging me, mind you this is what I got vrs what I woke up with. I was only in the chair for an hour as well. Do not go here.
I did my lashes couple of times. From the very first to the last experience went fantastic. Beds are comfortable. The staff is very professional and friendly. The ambience created there makes you think about yourself and nothing else. The results are nice but maybe they should improve the quality of their lashes. My favourite part is the decoration inside. I got a call from the owner about my appointments, very professional and nice to deal with her.
I came in with a Groupon for a classic lash set before my vacation. The lashes looked fine initially, and I was given a 50% off refill coupon for my next visit. I followed all aftercare instructions exactly, but by day 10 I was left with only two lashes. The retention was absolutely terrible. It felt more like a tactic to get me back in to spend more money rather than a quality service. Very disappointing experience and not worth it.
I’ve been here multiple times before, which is why this experience was disappointing. I spent $100 after tax and tip for a hybrid fill, but less than a week later one side was already looking noticeably sparse. I noticed the set looked lighter than usual from the beginning, but waited a few days because I thought I might be overthinking it. Unfortunately, when I reached out about it, I was advised to book a paid top-up service. After spending $100 the week before, the retention and overall fullness just did not feel worth the price for me this time.
I have been there before and had decent work, for the price you pay for volume lashes $215 , you would think their quality is better than the rest. Exactly 1 week and half the lashes have fallen off my lashes ( not my real eyelash falling off with the extension) I follow all the care points and sleep with a lash mask on- yet a week later you would think I had them for 3 -4 weeks. And to fill for $75-$105 a week later? No thanks. I also go this wet mascara look which added some extra long thicker lashes and they would twist and lay funny that I could never get them to stay in place so then it ended up looking like crazy spider legs. Which were also an additional $7 told to me after applying. I liked the lash tech , she was great. I just don’t if the product is as good as it should be for the cost. April 16: Lash up did in fact contact me to fix the problem. I got a complimentary fix. I’m not sure what changed but the fixed set lasted 10 days until I went for a small fill and even then it wasn’t nearly as naked as the first set. I think she only did a fill for 30’mns so not too much needed. And they have lasted much better since. The manager did say she thinks it could’ve been a shed period that caused it to go bare so fast. I would recommend trialling lashes prior to an event if that’s what you’re planning to do just to ensure you like the style and they stay on! I did not like the wispy/ spiked style I initially asked for so I didn’t get that the next time and I much prefer just a regular volume. Not sure if that style also contributed to the fall out but I have been much more pleased with the replaced set. I went to Nat and she did great and management checked in to make sure the lashes were actually staying this time round. I change my view I do like lashes I think they’re great for busy day to day life. Again I would recommend a trial before getting them for an important event.
