My family of 4 had a fantastic experience at Baekjeong Korean BBQ House. We ordered the BBQ combo for 4 people, and everything was absolutely delicious. The meat quality was excellent, well-marinated, fresh, and full of authentic Korean BBQ flavor. The side dishes were also very tasty and constantly refilled. What impressed me the most is the consistency. I have also eaten at the Calgary location, and both restaurants deliver the exact same experience — from the flavors and food quality to the service style and atmosphere. It’s rare to see a restaurant chain maintain such a high and consistent standard between locations. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very professional with helping at the grill. The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and had a lively atmosphere that made dinner even more enjoyable for the whole family. If you love Korean BBQ, this place is definitely worth visiting. We will absolutely come back again.
This place is so worth it! We ordered 2 Beef Combo for two, and it was amazing! There were 2 soups, 1 corn cheese, and 1 steamed egg that I didn’t catch in the picture. None of us could finished our rice or side dish, because we were trying so hard to finish the meat (it’s really A LOT!). The taste was also good, even though not the best meat Ive ever had in my life. The servers were very friendly and fast. Over all, one of the most worth it K-BBQ we all have been to.
Wow! What an experience!! We visited here on our marriage anniversary, and we loved it. The whole experience was interactive, fun, and cozy. Loved the seating area which adds a bit of privacy. The sides were could order multiple times along with rice, kimchi, lettuce, etc. Definitely worth the try!
One of the OG Kbbq places in the city. Consistently good quality beef that always leaves us satisfied. Some would say it is a bit pricey but tbh, beef is not cheap. They serve sterling tier beef which is about as good as it can get in Canada. Not Wagyu but that is understood. Service is fine and we enjoy Noah quite a bit. He is always attentive with regards to changing our grill when it becomes too charred. Also, the Southside location is the OG and our preferred over the west end. The same owners own BB2 but tbh Baek Jeong is simply better although there is no ayce option. Our go to is always the premium beef combo for 2. Finally, word of advice to the uninitiated, you WILL leave smelling like your meal so don't wear your Sunday's finest if the lingering smell after you leave bothers you! Overall, this is a 4.5/5 for me.
Baekjeong Korean Grill is one of those places that turns a simple meal into an experience. From the moment you sit down, you can tell this isn’t just about eating — it’s about enjoying the whole process. The grill at the table, the sizzling sound of meat, the aroma building up as everything cooks right in front of you… it sets the tone immediately. The quality of the meat really stands out. Whether it’s the marinated cuts or the classic options, everything is fresh, well-prepared, and grills beautifully. Juicy, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling overly greasy. You can taste the difference when the ingredients are taken seriously. The banchan (side dishes) deserve a mention too — a nice variety, well-balanced, and constantly keeping your palate refreshed between bites of grilled meat. It adds depth to the whole meal rather than just being an afterthought. Service is attentive and helpful, especially if you’re not too familiar with Korean BBQ. Staff are quick to assist with grilling and make sure everything is cooked just right, which makes the experience smooth and enjoyable. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming — great for family dinners or catching up with friends. It’s one of those places where time passes quickly because you’re too busy enjoying the food and the moment. A solid choice when you’re craving Korean BBQ done properly — satisfying, interactive, and worth coming back for.
