Went with a friend and we ordered the lasagna, pizza, burger and nachos ! Each was better than the other, top marks especially on the nachos, as it is so simple yet typically found lacking at other establishments ! Sometimes you just want a good nacho !! I went back and had the New York strip , it was SO good! Perfect medium rare, nice kindve charcoaled crust and so delicious. Also you have to try their fries ( steak fries ). Found out it’s family owned and operated for the better part of 30 years and I wasn’t surprised. Every other patron seemed to have a personal relationship with one or more of the servers / employees. Overall great food , great experience , a nice place to come eat.
If I could give 0 stars I would! PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE THERE ARE OTHER LOCATIONS. They never own up to their mistakes and will blame the customer! I ordered pizza while dining in and it came undercooked and soggy, dough still raw. They told me to request it to be cooked well done next time. I shouldn’t have to get it well done to be COOKED PROPERLY. I have wasted so much money eating here and the staff while literally argue to the point of yelling, raising their voice. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL, I am putting in a complaint against them and filing for report to AHS.
I got the beef stir fry. The meat was pure garbage. Extremely tough to cut or chew and were the size of stewing meat with no flavor, not stir fry strips that well, any asian food restaurant would use in such a dish. For $24. you think they could at least use a half decent cut of meat. Not some type of road kill. If they use bottom of the barrel quality meat for this, I would also think they skimp on every other product on the menu to dish out to you. Good luck on what you get.
The food was absolutely fantastic!! The steaks were prepared just right and trimmings were very large and tasty! The only two critiques we had was the garlic toast was a tad overcooked with its crust being a little crunchy/burnt and the cooked veggies with the 10oz steak were not cooked long enough with the dish. (Still crunchy and lacking the steak juice flavoring) But other than that, the meal was excellent! Thanks to the chef and cooks for a delicious meal that we’d be happy to come back for in the future.
Honestly!! Been to a lot of the newer restaurants in the city and none have really made me think, “I am definitely making this our spot”. But this restaurant is sooooo good!!! The quality, the taste, the service..!! It is just so underrated and overly delicious! I know that it was THE place to go on the weekends tor a lot of families back when we were younger, but omg..! How did we forget how good their food is?!! Really, all our mains were 5/5 deeeelicious!!! I’m the type that will order almost everything on the menu at a new place that I try out with my friends, but I’ve never had a dish where I was like, “oh I so need to come back for this”. But this restaurant has the BEST baked pastas, the BEST pasta sauces(they never skimp like other restaurants that give you dry pastas where you need to ask for more sauce and then they charge you more for it), it’s the perrrrfect amount that you can even dip your garlic bread into!! and yummy steak that I have had in a very long time!! Also their portions are 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 They didn’t shrink and charge more like most other restaurants! And this location is actually, IMO, the best one out of all of them! Never fails to satisfy!! It’s a mom and pop shop that really shows that they put love into their food!! So thankful for places like this still exist!! 😋😋😋😋😋
