I’ve eaten there many times and the pizza is amazing. The other night I ordered takeout, lasagna. The thing was huge. Didn’t think I’d finish the whole thing but I was wrong. lol. This thing had lots of meat sauce and cheese. Bravo Capital The one thing I would say is more garlic toast.
It was a good experience it would have been 5 stars but my wife's veal was raw and my steak was under. Great service though. On the downside they just took back the portion and we had to eat the rest of the food while we waited for our entrée to come back. They did send out a small portion of fresh fries to compensate the wait. All in all the rest of the order was nicely done.
Donair was pretty bad very weak on flavour and the sweet sauce equally as bad. 2.4 out if 10 fries were mid has nothing for seasoning not one spec of salt. 3.7 out of 10
Capital Pizza and Steak House My visit to Capital Pizza and Steak House was a mixed experience, starting on an off-putting note and ending with average impressions overall. The experience began awkwardly when the server led us to a section she herself referred to as "Siberia." This term felt unprofessional and set a negative tone for the evening. The section felt isolated and didn't contribute to a welcoming dining atmosphere. As for the food, it had its highs and lows: The Mozzarella Sticks were passable but didn’t stand out. The Bruschetta was a disappointment. The bread was soggy and lacked the crunch you’d expect from a properly toasted base. The Chicken and Ribs were decent but far from memorable. On a brighter note, the pizzas were enjoyable, especially the Hawaiian Pizza and the Cheese Pizza, which were well-prepared with good flavors. The Veg Quesadilla (no mushroom) was underwhelming. The accompanying salad lacked dressing, leaving it dry and uninspired. For the prices charged, the overall meal didn’t justify the cost. While the pizzas were good, the rest of the dishes didn’t meet expectations, especially given the premium pricing. In summary, while Capital Pizza and Steak House has potential, inconsistencies in food quality and an unprofessional approach to customer service make it hard to recommend. A more thoughtful approach to both hospitality and food preparation would go a long way in justifying the cost and improving the overall experience.
What an absolute gem of a place! As a traveler, I was looking for a good pizza close to my hotel and Capital didn’t disappoint. It’s an old school hidden treasure that I fully recommend. It has Home-cooked meals and tasty pizza that reminds me of an old school pizza pie! It had excellent flavour, full of toppings and cheese with an amazing crust! As a traveler it was a real treat to come across in my travels. The couple at the table beside said they always come for the pizza as it never disappoints. Makes sense because the pizza take out was non stop while I ate. If I lived closer I’d be dining there once a week , and my waitress, Maria ( I think?) was excellent, she gave me a lot of recommendations, like splitting my pizza half-and-half so I could try different toppings and offered hot sauce and ranch, all part of the meal. St Albert, you have a real treat in your city, If you don’t try it, you’re doing yourself a disservice. My only recommendation is turn up the music. Next time I’m trying the steak! cheers 😁
