An absolutely unique and fantastic experience!!! Getting there is adventure, it’s kinda in middle but once you arrive, it all makes sense. By far the best brisket in Edmonton, same for the beef ribs, and the coleslaw…..it’s all so damn good. And I’ll say this, the fact the owner is so involved with her stories and love for BBQ!! Go to Honey’s!! It’s an experience and so much more!
I travel all over the province and look for places that smoke brisket. This place is by far the best. Honey's uses maple wood to smoke the meats. The brisket has great bark on it. Is moist. And most importantly has smoked taste that you know is there. Not like many places where the meat is dry or your taste buds are trying to figure out if it was "smoked". Unlike most other places that give you more bun than meat, here, you get a lot of brisket. That wonderful taste stayed on my tongue for quite a while, making me wish I had ordered another one to take home for later. This is a place you will want to come back to again and again. Thank ya' Honey.
What a hidden gem to stumble upon! After a round of golf, I was hoping to find a good lunch—and Honey did not disappoint. It’s tucked away so well that even with Google Maps, I couldn’t quite figure out where it was hiding. Turns out, it’s inside a gated compound. Luckily, my trusty nose caught the scent of the smoker, and I knew I was close! Definitely worth a visit. Just be sure to check Google for the latest hours—she updates them frequently depending on what smoked meats are available.
Oh boy! I had the brisket and chicken at someone's party- they got a few big take out trays. The brisket was amazing - first restaurant to beat my home smoked brisket in Edmonton since I have started smoking meat. I want to ask them the trick to the thick bark, maybe a little brown sugar? The chicken and mac and cheese were good too.
Fantastic service. The owner was phenomenal to deal with and extremely warm and caring when chatting while my order was packed. The food was delicious and on par with a lot of the Texas BBQ I've had. The brisket had a healthy smoke and beautiful crust that was amazing! On-top of that I found the price to be very reasonable, especially in the BBQ realm. I can't wait for summer to come sit and enjoy it again! Thanks for the love in a foil pan. :)
