We had a great dinner here for my sister's birthday. We all got different fun mocktails (I recommend the yuzu one), the sushi boat, a mango/eel roll, and some tempura. Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. We also got two desserts: coconut tempura ice cream and a chocolate berry treat. Both fabulous. The four of us were full and happy after! The service was spot on. Would for sure go back. Just don't park in the Best Buy lot!!
Four of us had a really nice dinner at Mikado downtown tonight, in a comfortable booth with great service and delicious food. Our Japanese friends ordered a variety of dishes ( including assorted tempura that I forget to take a photo of) and everything was very fresh and each with its own unique taste. I was surprised how much I liked the spinach goma with black sesame paste. The tempura was super light yet crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Being the ‘sweet tooth’ that I am, my favourite dish was the tempura ice cream we had for desert. Luckily we were warned that it is quite big, so 2 of us shared it, but all four of us could have shared it and still been satisfied. We ordered it with cappuccino ice cream which I loved, but next time I’d like to try it with green tea ice cream. One of many reasons I’ll be back. 😋
Food was amazing and tasted fresh, service was great and environment was good. Ordered a blue fin jalapeño cream roll; so good forgot to take a photo.
Their bento boxes are not only so flavourful but they have so much variety. They have many bento boxes for different types of taste or cravings. Not only their bento boxes is amazing but their sushi is really great as well. If you want to have a nice lunch I highly recommend here if you crave Japanese.
Returned after many years and the food is still pretty much the same as before. Very nostalgic would come back again. The dragon eyes roll has gotten smaller though.
Keep exploring
