I've been here twice now and loved the tonkotsu and the shoyu ramen- both big winners! The soups are so good. Also really like how you order by yourself on a kiosk as it feels like authentic Japan! Can't wait to try everything else they offer. Reyna was very lovely and helpful!
A solid escape from the WEM food court chaos If you're at West Edmonton Mall and want to avoid the food court — the noise, the not-so-pleasant crowd, the grimy tables and chairs — Nagaiki is a great alternative. The tables and chairs are actually kept clean, and the restaurant is nicely designed. It just feels like a proper place to sit down and eat, which is rare to find in that part of the mall. Food: The abura soba is genuinely good and my favorite thing here. The ramen is decent — a bit too salty for my taste, nothing to write home about — but still way better than anything you'll find at the food court. Same goes for the donburis: nothing that'll blow you away, but the value for the price is really good. Service: The staff are nice and courteous, which goes a long way. Overall, this is a must-go spot if you're at WEM and want food court convenience without the food court experience.
t’s my second time here and I would say its worth coming for affordable ramen and sides it offers!! It’s very tasty as well and its a chill atmosphere to just eat and talk with family/friends!!
The food was not warm enough but the serving size is big. Their supervisor is nice, I think her name was Toni? She told us to let them know next time if there's a problem with the food and they'll fix it for us.
I was disappointed how this restaurant managing this place, NO service at all, yet they have the nerves to ask for a tip, self order, we put 10% tip just to found out its all self serve. I regret giving the tip, you get your own water from water station, get your own order from the counter, they gave the pop, not cold, without even offering glads with ice. I will never recommend this place even it is a esthetic and look beautiful inside. If you treat your customer like that, eventually no one will come again. Been in many Japanese restaurants around the city but I will not go back here again. Try Kinjo, Tatsu Sushi, Kinton Ramen, Dorinku and many other ramen/Japanese restaurants instead lots of good ones, not like this. I usually read google reviews before going to the place, but since I'm already hungry, I tried this, since its closest to me at that time. Don't dine here, and if you do, expect a full self service and don't give tips. To the management, just to let you know, Japanese restaurants aren't like this in Japan, I know this is not Japan but you are representing one and it should match your service.
