My second time at this great eatery! Let me tell you the place was buzzing, the servers were timely and incredibly friendly! The food was amazing , there were five of us and we ate the menu! A couple pastas, three 14 inch pizzas, an amazing salad, calamari, and several other plates, including three desserts We had espresso, quality ingredients, andeverything that was served was top-notch. We ate like kings. Theservice was exceptional, Really nice service from everybody there, especially our server who I’ve had before and forgot her name, please forgive me. T he most incredible part about it was the bill it was only about $40 a person. The bill came out to $217, I was shocked as to how little it was for the amount We ate and ended up taking home. There was not one item on the menu that was not fantastic! I recommend this place to everybody. I definitely will be back.
I have driven past this place for years and always thought... who would eat there. Well... don't judge a book by its cover! Situated in a little strip mall across from Bonnie Doon Mall is an Italian food oasis. We did a quality test against our favorite pizza place in Edmonton and this place won! We were in Italy for 2 weeks in September and this pizza competes against the best pizza we had on our trip. We had the "Godfather" and we were treated to a crisp thin crust with a flavourful sauce and ample toppings. Their brushetta is on a flatbread and is by far one of the best we've ever had. The Tiramisu is non-traditional and nice with fresh whipped cream but didn't really have that rich experience you'd usually expect. After the brushetta and an extra large pizza... it's probably a safer choice anyways. Amazing service, very warm and comfortable decor and very fast food turnaround the night we came but we were early and it was quiet night. We had drinks, appetizer, XL pizza and dessert all for $80 (including GST) which we think is a great deal for the quality and service. Trust me... way cheaper than going to Italy or even ordering in Italy! Don't make the mistake I did for years ... stop and check these guys out. You won't be disappointed.
It's a nice place for pastas and pizzas, tried this place for first time. We were in hurry and had limited time, but the service was fast which was a great experience. They have great coffees, some nice cocktails, their pastas are very nice as well. They do serve complimentary fresh buns and oil which I loved as it tasted so good. Definitely recommend to try this if you enjoy Italian food.
Came back since before covid and was expecting the best pizza but quite disappointed. Was over cooked and the crust tasted like hard crackers. I do have to give kudos to the server who offered to change it but if that is how it gets served the first time then that’s what I’m rating it on. I expected great and got hard no flavour pizza. Toppings were good. Photos show varying sizes of crust which would be hard to bake consistently. Needed better auditing in the kitchen to not send out an inferior product.
Reading the other reviews, I guess the pizza must be really great, unfortunately I was in the mood for pasta, should have skipped out. Had the rigatoni al forno, taste was not too phenomenal, and left somewhat of a strange after taste for some reason. The food was ok enough to eat, but it was very reminiscent of leftovers of those store bought frozen lasagna trays, so if that’s you’re favourite then this is good. Had the boccocini coperti as an appetizer, and for its price, it’s definitely not worth it. Two mini buns with boccocini, prosciutto, and tomato puree. I did not get a picture of it and while the presentation was good of course, the size and price is a little questionable. If you’re going here, maybe order the pizza and skip out on everything else.
Keep exploring
