Rosso Pizzeria

A great restaurant in the Garneau/UofA area. It has a real nice neighbourhood feel with lots of regulars. They have a nice patio for the summer months. Great coffee and a large freezer display case of all the different house made gelato's that they have. It was a snowy late March afternoon so we sat at the bar with a view of their cheery wood fired pizza oven making it very cozy. We shared 4 meat balls which along with the bread were delicious. Then we shared the Prosciutto Cotto pizza with the added artichoke which was also delicious. I have a bad habit of digging into the food without taking a review photo first so for the pizza all you see is the empty pan and my last bite of pizza. Normally we don't have desert however when I heard the bartender say the word "Crumble" I knew we had to investigate the desert menu. It was the Crumble di Mele with fire roasted Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, caramel, oats, pecans, and walnuts topped with the gelato of ones choice (we had the vanilla). It was absolutely delicious! The people were so kind and welcoming. Our server Shay was very helpful and friendly and approachable and nice. She always was helpful whenever I had requests, brought me everything I asked for with punctuality and and kindness. The outdoor patio was very nice watching cars and people go by. The menu was awesome, we came for brunch (only Saturday Sunday) and there was lots of variety. The French toast that my lady had was prob the best French toast I have ever tired. I had the Italian breakfast and it was great, not huge portions but very delicious. 17$ for each plate, OJ was $8.

The cutest little pizza spot in town! The warmth and friendliness of the servers (I had Lana and Maya helping me) really elevated the experience. Definitely recommend the patio (though don’t forget bug spray). Pictured are the margarita pizza and the house cocktail.

I came here for dinner Saturday around 5-7 PM and had a great experience! We didn’t have a reservation, and there were a few people ahead of us, so we waited a couple of minutes while they were getting seated. The hostess was very kind and welcoming, helped us with the parking information and showed us where to register our license plate. We initially chose to sit outside but later asked to move inside, she kindly accommodated our request and helped us! Our server was also amazing. She was very friendly, attentive, and consistently checked in to make sure everything was good. My partner and I shared a salad, then had two pizzas. It took a little while, but we were in no rush so we didn’t mind. The food was pretty good overall, although my pizza was a little burnt.The environment was upbeat, the music was great, and the employees all seemed happy and professional. We’ll definitely be back!

I always love coming to Russo for a bite to eat. The atmosphere is consistently warm and cozy, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. The food is absolutely outstanding and tastes just like authentic meals in Italy. Every dish is prepared with great care and full of flavour, making each visit a memorable experience. I highly recommend Rosso for a gathering with friends or a special date night. It is one of my favourite places to go in Edmonton 🤍
