Royal Pizza Newcastle

I have always been a fan of Royal Pizza. “Still making it great!” Not so here. Pizza was much thinner with barely any toppings and as we ordered Fred’s Special, they even forgot to put the pineapple on. Added later after complaining.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently tried the vegetarian pizza at Royal Pizza Newcastle and had a great experience. The pizza was fresh, loaded with vegetables, and had a perfect balance of toppings and cheese. The crust was cooked just right, and the flavors were excellent. The staff were friendly, and the service was quick. If you're looking for a tasty vegetarian pizza in the area, I would definitely recommend Royal Pizza Newcastle. Looking forward to ordering again!

Update: the restaurant owner contacted me and made everything right. The replacement pizza was everything I love about Fred's Special. I'll be back. For this reason I updated my scores to represent the new pizza. I want to start by saying that the Fred's Special pizza is my favorite restaurant pizza. However, the Newcastle location is lacking consistency with their prep and cooking. Twice now, I've ordered a pizza that was burnt. This time, the crust was also over an inch thick in places and the toppings were well below the normal Fred's Special. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager. I was put on hold for over 5 minutes before I decided to end the call. I would easily give 5 stars if the pizza is made the way it is most of the time. Unfortunately, unless this gets corrected, I'll have to change restaurants.

Absolutely amazing experience at Royal Pizza! The pizza was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The crust was perfect and the toppings were generous. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and the food came quickly. One of the best pizza places in Alberta — highly recommend Royal Pizza to anyone looking for delicious food and great service!

Normally I would not post but unfortunately, in the last 4 times ordering from this location a disturbing trend is occurring, delivery times are unreasonable, 1.5 to 2 hrs, drivers citing they got lost or phone died and or course the pizzas are stone cold by the time they arrive. In speaking to the manager only offering the bare minimum in explanation or compensation on poor service and product quality. In the past royal pizza use to offer a quality product with outstanding customer service. However, it appears current management no longer strives to achieve these principles. So sad to see.
