Suvai Dosa's South Indian Cuisine Edmonton

Had a great experience at Suvai Dosa on Parsons Road. The location is easy to find with ample parking, and the ambience is clean, welcoming, and beautifully done. We tried the Mysore Masala Dosa, Onion Rava Masala Dosa, and chilli paneer momos—everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The dosas were perfectly crisp and served with fresh chutneys that really stood out. The staff were courteous and attentive, and the menu offers a wide variety of South Indian, North Indian, and indo-chinese options. We also had a quick chat with the head chef, whose passion clearly reflects in the food. Overall, a great experience and excellent value for money. Definitely one of the better dosa spots in Edmonton—worth a visit!

Went for dinner on a friday, and there was only one other table there. We ordered the medu vada with lentil soup (very good), and I had a potato dosa (also very good). We ordered chai but the lady forgot my husbands chai so he ordered again but ordered a coffee (he said it was also good). The restaurent is pretty small and could use a bit of a cleaning (the washrooms could use a wipe down..). But the food was good.

From everything we ordered, Prawns appetizer was my favourite. Dosa was good. Did not like the chai. Also, the service could have been better, especially since the restaurant was empty. No one was in plain sight when we needed assistance so had to wait quite a bit for someone to show up.

After a long time, we finally experienced the true native taste! The masala dosa is an absolute must-try, perfectly paired with the delicious vada and soft idli. And the tea and coffee? Simply awesome—rich, flavorful, and the perfect finish to a great meal.

We had a fantastic family meal at Suvai Dosa’s South Indian Cuisine in Edmonton! We tried the Mysore Masala Dosa and Gun Podi Masala Dosa, and both were absolutely delicious—crispy, flavorful, and full of authentic South Indian taste. The filter coffee was excellent and a perfect way to finish the meal. The kids loved the Nutella Dosa, which was a big hit with them! What impressed us most was the great value—we enjoyed a delicious meal for 4 people for less than $50, which is hard to beat these days. Great food, generous portions, family-friendly options, and excellent value. Definitely a 5-star experience! Highly recommended, and we’ll be back again.
