AMAZING park in the heart of downtown Edmonton. We are so lucky in the city to have access to such amazing green spaces. The amenities (bathrooms, campgrounds, parking) is extremely well maintained and the trails are all well maintained and accessible as well. Overall highly recommended!
This is a great off-leash park. People are friendly except for the ones who don’t like dogs but they don’t count. The trails are well maintained, there are garbage cans around to dispose of the dog waste, fire pits to cook if you bring your own wood, and it’s so quiet for being so close to a busy part of the city. The only con is the stink near the beginning of the trail for the sewage treatment but that’s not even a big deal for how beautiful this park is. The water is safe to swim but I recommend a shower when you get home because it’s a little muddy. This is my favourite place to bring my dog and she always has the best time.
Parks deserve a 5 star rating for what they are. This one definitely deserves the 5 star rating. Open green spaces with trails and benches, what’s not to love. There are picnic tables and wood fireplaces that you can use if you bring your own wood. Public washrooms are available. There is a boat launch. It’s a great park. I definitely recommend this place. It’s also dog friendly.
Excellent off leash dog park, miles of paved trails and most important of all, it is clean. People pick up after their pets. It also has a fabulous stick library. My grandpuppy loves that library.
The beauty of this park is in its wilderness and at the same time well-groomed paths. You can walk along the river alone, with friends or with a dog. You can find barbecue spots with the tables and wide lawn for playing ball. There's a passage to the river for fishing, boating, and walking in the water.
