LOVED IT! The tour guide had a wealth of knowledge about all of the displays and buildings on site. Coming from the east coast of Canada it is nice to learn about the people, history and culture from other parts of Canada.
Just moved here. First place in Fort Sascketchwan we visited. We went for a post Easter activity. It was set up so well with face painting, scavenger hunt, and crafts. Definitely want to come back to explore and learn more about the history.
I had no idea of the history in Fort Saskatchewan about the Fort Heritage Precinct. Great place for a walk with the family. The area is open and is like a park although I did not see any picnic benches. There is washroom facilities and are well kept and clean. There are guided tours available. There is a Fort to see and a little village. It’s really cool.
Senior bus trip and your, absolutely great, our your guide was amazing and interactive. Lots of history, definitely worth visiting!
This place is closed right now, but such a wonderful area to visit. Lots of green fields, an historic playground for kids, designated pathways and trails, and lots of info on the Fort itself. A great place to exercise your dog AND visit the sheep that are kept for "mowing" the massive grassy areas.
Keep exploring
