Hermitage Park

Nice park near the river. Quite a large park and seems to have enough parking areas. Several little ponds including one which is supposedly stocked with fish. Several scenic walking trails, both paved and unpaved. Large dog park as well.

Almost had to body slam a dog cause it went wild on me in the dog park. As for the lakes, they are gorgeous and there's tons of birds here. I think they should have bumper boats going or something in these vacant lakes. Bring back fun things for us to do here in the city other than body slamming animals. Open a new Action Park!!!

Hermitage dog park is one of my favorites. Great shared walking path. There are several paths in the trees also. You can take your dog to swim in the river or jump in the pond. The pond has several lookout points so you can view the pond. There are 2 picnic tables and a couple benches along the path for resting. I understand that this park is part of the the bird migration route so if you hit it right in the season you can see a variety of birds.

Very beautiful area. Large body of water with walking path all around and little lookout points. Lots of stunning and unique birds. We also had an outdoor event at one of the covered picnic sites it was really nice. Even though the weather was bad and it was pouring rain we stayed dry and the bathrooms are very clean and modern.

May 20th 2026 I went to my grandmas favourite place and have a private picnic ceremony little wedding thingy with my two sisters my bio brother and father and my soon to be husband Thom it was a bit awkward cause it was raining on and off the whole time But it was nice to go and hang out at my grandparents favourite place and have a wonderful day with my friends and family
