Persian-influenced Edmonton cafe serving traditional coffee, chai, and light Middle Eastern bites. Family-friendly, halal-friendly atmosphere popular with the local Iranian and Middle Eastern communities.
I was looking forward to enjoying myself at a high end cafe for quite a while now and cafe aria delivered ! Food : This was a fully halal restaurant . We ordered roast beef eggs Benedict , maple butter pancakes, crème brûlée French toast, coffee and a raisin custard croissant. The food was really good , very delicious. However the one star I knocked was for the coffee . For being such a high end cafe the coffee did not deliver. The croissant was quite delicious and flaky. Service was excellent, we were taken to it seats within minutes . Staff were very attentive and even while waiting for our order they came and kept updating us ( food came decently early ) . They were quite nice and friendly as well. Atmosphere. This was a nice high end cafe and the atmosphere clearly reflected. Over all , awesome experience, of course overpriced like other reviews say, so definitely an occasional treat . But I will definitely be coming back.
Most of the food items were pretty good. Really liked the Eggs Benedict and Trench Toast. Pancakes were average and brewed coffee was quite underwhelming. The atmosphere is nice and service is quite good.
Beautiful cafe. The pastries looked fantastic and tasted pretty good. The hot chocolate was a little mild for my taste, but was good. The prices seemed a bit steep though, for 3 croissants, 2 hot chocolates and a cappuccino we ended up paying nearly 50$. I was surprised to find out the cafe had been open for more than a month though. While the servers were friendly and kind, service was slow and seemed confused. They ran out of cups while we were there, which was pretty surprising for a cafe. I also found the booths uncomfortable and a very tight fit - if I go again I would definitely go for a table with standard chairs to get a bit more space.
I like the concept of the place. Those fries of theirs are amazing as it was simple yet has a kick to it because of the cheese. I would’ve loved the hot chocolate if it was warmer or hotter though. And the staff just took away dishes without even asking if we were done, so that was not okay. Courtesy wise my friend on customers talking and still dining please.
European-Style Café in Edmonton We stopped in for Sunday brunch and were genuinely impressed by the freshness and flavor of the food. We tried the Egg Croissant and the Avocado Toast, and both dishes were delicious and well-prepared. We couldn’t resist ordering pastries, and we’re glad we did. The Almond Croquant and Millefeuille were high-quality, artistic pastry craftsmanship.—each bite felt like being transported to a Parisian café. The pastries were high quality, light rather than heavy, and pleasantly balanced in sweetness. The layers in the millefeuille were beautifully crisp and delicate. These pastries were easily comparable to those crafted in Pâtisserie fine in Paris. The Almond and Pasticcio Croissants were delicious. With their many thin, flaky layers, they were crispy on the outside, airy inside, and filled with rich almond and pasticcio flavors. The cappuccinos were very well done too, with thick foam and perfectly balanced espresso. We enjoyed the experience so much that we’ve already returned twice this week. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic European pastries, fine cappuccinos and a tasty brunch.
