Very nice experience!! People were nice, clean atmosphere and very tasty food. Be careful though folks ask for not spicy hot unless you can handle extremely hot food. I requested both and they were delicious. Just remember that if you ask for spicy hot they will give it to you. Also they now have vlt machines.
Amazingly tender and tasty grilled chicken, the potatoes and the sweet potatoes were perfectly roasted just right. The rice (and I am not always a fan of rice) was flavourful and accented with roasted chick peas, hummus and a tasty sauce that I haven't had before but it went nicely with the rice. This chef could make me a fan of rice! Great service and good people working there. Portion size was more than adequate and I will return to work down the menu 😋
Review I came to Massawa Cafe today with my sister. We felt uncomfortable because of the way some people looked at us when we walked in. I also don’t like that alcohol is sold in the restaurant. I love the food and wanted to support a restaurant from my country, but unfortunately I won’t be coming back.
I stopped by Massawa Cafe in Edmonton recently as I wanted some Ethiopian food. The restaurant had an interesting decor. In terms of food, I tried their Tibsi Red (keyh). The beef was tender with a nice flavour but not really spicy, and the highlight was definitely the injera. There was quite a bit of food as well so I’d give it 8/10
Delicious food, excellent services, and friendly staff. I love the vegetarian Platter.
