Tucked into a church, Milk & Honey is surprisingly in a bright and open space. Mixed seating allows you to study/work at a table or get cozy in a cushy chair. Staff were friendly and patient when I was trying to decide what to order. Decided to get just sandwiches and was pleased with what we got. I liked the focaccia, a good balance of bouncy, chewy, and crunch of crust. I do wish the sandwiches were more packed with their contents -more arugula, more meat- to fill out the middle. The price was incredibly fair for what you got at 14$ a sandwich. I do like the overall flavours and its freshness. I would recommend anyone give this place a try if they are near by!
If you live in the Hamptons, Jamieson Place, Callingwood, or any other surrounding area, and you haven’t been to this cafe—you are missing out! Snuggled into the SAINTS church (it has its own entrance) this clean and bright, non-fussy cafe will surprise you. We had a “Morty” and a “Goat” sandwich accompanied by a delicious cup of coffee and a carrot cake scone. The sandwiches were top-notch made with delicious crunchy focaccia bread. The Goat with its hot honey sauce was our favourite. We also tried the Whoopie cookie. Both dessert items did not disappoint. The scone is so wonderfully nutty! The Whoopie pie is creamy and addictive. The staff, in particular, the owner, Lisa, are very friendly and eager to please. We live nearby, so this will be a regular spot for noshing. *The only downside perhaps is the $14 price per sandwich. This might be a bit high for anyone on low or fixed incomes, sadly. I say sadly because everyone must try this place. But everything is freshly made—so there is that!
A nice change of pace from my usual brunch routine! Awesome flavorful sandwiches and pies! Good latte to go with it. And a killer Mexican chocolate cookie. For a post workout recovery this hit all the right places. I'll definitely be returning! Well done M&H!
Amazing café!!! The focaccia bread is so fresh it’s crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The flavour combinations of the sandwiches are sooo good. The Goat was sweet and salty, and the Mona Lisa was sweet, salty and tangy. The cookies are also super good. This place is a gem!!!! The staff are so nice and friendly too.
Milk & Honey may be tucked into a church space, but honestly it just adds to the charm. Hipster café meets cozy pop up vibes in the best way possible. The maple iced latte? Truly the Canadian dream drink. Sweet, smooth, espresso forward, and dangerously easy to inhale. My partner had the orange espresso tonic and gurl, I had questions at first 😂 but it was GOOD. Bright, citrusy, refreshing, and weirdly addictive. The espresso was gooooddd, the menu felt creative without trying too hard, and the staff were absolutely top tier. Friendly, welcoming, and giving the kind of energy that makes you want to become a regular after one visit. Definitely one of those spots you leave already planning your next drink order. ☕
