I really liked this café. The matcha here is great, and the grilled cheese was amazing. I stayed for a while to study and the music they were playing really added to the overall vibe. It felt like such a comfortable place to spend time. I will definitely be coming back.
Great place, fair pricing and awesome service. Gabriel is the real barista and definitely knows how to make a perfect coffee. Definitely recommend to everyone!
We stopped by Monacci Coffeehouse for a quick coffee and some pastries. On this visit we ordered a London Fog, an Americano, and two different flavours of macarons—one crème brûlée and one chocolate. The drinks were both very well prepared. The London Fog was particularly enjoyable: nicely aromatic with a smooth balance of Earl Grey and steamed milk, without being overly sweet. The Americano was also done well, with a clean, balanced flavour that highlighted the espresso nicely. The macarons were also quite good. The shells had a pleasant texture and the fillings were flavorful without being overly sweet, which we appreciated. The crème brûlée and chocolate were both enjoyable choices and paired nicely with our drinks. The space itself has a peaceful, relaxed vibe. The wooden furniture and warm design elements create a cozy atmosphere that makes it a pleasant spot to sit and chat over a drink. One small thing to note is that the seating is placed fairly close together. During our visit, the table beside us was watching videos on full volume, which made it a bit difficult to focus on our conversation. It might be helpful if the café had a small reminder about keeping device volume low, especially in a quieter café setting. Service was very friendly and welcoming. The staff member who helped us was kind and efficient, and our order came out quickly. Overall, a pleasant stop for well-made coffee and a small treat in a cozy space.
We had drinks and food at 13:30 on a Friday. It's at the end of a small neighborhood strip mall. The decor is modern and seats about two dozen. They offer drinks, sandwiches and pastries (menu is online). Service was fast and friendly at the ordering point. Our drinks and food were brought to the table. All were very good. One point - the smoked meat wasn't as thickly layered as in Montreal! A big downside was that 1/3 of the seats were occupied by laptop users, with empty coffee cups, who appeared riveted in place. We asked the one taking up the 4 seat table if they could move, which they kindly did. It's off-putting asking a customer to move so you can have a seat. Management should manage the laptop users better.
Absolutely fantastic cafe! Prices are super reasonable (large cups and portions). The barista was super friendly too. I had an ice mocha (this put Starbucks or any other cafe to shame) and a Chocolate Banana Croffle. Super tasty! My sister had a cappuccino, which was also excellent. We will be back, in fact probably one of our regulars.
