Bag O'Crab

My partner and I decided to celebrate our 19th anniversary at Bag O’ Crab, and overall, it was a decent experience. The restaurant itself was nice and quiet, which made for a relaxing meal. It wasn’t overly busy, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely could have been better and didn’t quite match the price point. As for the food, it was good overall. The shrimp were absolutely amazing and easily the highlight of the meal. The crawfish were decent, but the king crab was a bit disappointing as there wasn’t nearly as much meat as we expected for the price $145 At the end of the day, the food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant, and we still enjoyed our anniversary dinner. However, considering the pricing, portion concerns, and billing issue, it’s unlikely we’ll be back. There are simply too many other seafood restaurants offering better value for the money. Would I recommend trying it once? Sure. Just be prepared for a hefty bill and double-check it before you pay. 🦀

This is my first time visit to this establishment. I'm not a virgin when it comes to Seafood, my entire visit was made a 10 out of 10 by our incredible server. The food was delicious the price was market value so you're going to pay a little bit more for first Seafood but overall the food quality and flavors were delicious. I would highly recommend stopping in and grabbing one of their market value Seafood, whether it be crab Lobster shrimp you name it they have it. Stop by for a great time!! If you are craving fresh seafood, Bag O Crab in West Edmonton Mall is definitely the place to go! We ordered the combos with crab, shrimp, and sausages, along with the fried calamari—everything was exceptionally fresh and absolutely delicious. A special shoutout to our server, Emily, who was so sweet, nice, and friendly! She was attentive and gave us complete assistance throughout our meal, making our dining experience even better. We will definitely be back! Highly recommended!

The food here was genuinely delicious, and the entire dining experience was both fun and memorable. We ordered the Combo #3 with king crab, which came with shrimp, potatoes, and sausage in a medium spicy Cajun spice sauce. They also had a great promotion running — free shrimp fried rice with the combo order — which was a nice bonus and paired really well with the meal. Everything arrived piping hot inside the classic seafood boil bag, adding to the experience. Our server even offered to pour the entire bag out onto the tray for us, which made the meal feel interactive, casual, and enjoyable. It’s the kind of dining experience that’s messy in the best way possible and perfect for sharing. The Cajun sauce was rich, flavorful, and well-balanced with just the right amount of spice at the medium level — enough heat to keep it exciting without overpowering the seafood. The king crab was satisfying and flavorful, the shrimp were cooked well, and the potatoes and sausage soaked up all the delicious seasoning beautifully. Overall, we really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the whole hands-on experience. If you enjoy seafood boils with bold flavors and generous portions, this spot is definitely worth trying.

I’d say this is the best seafood boil we’ve had in Edmonton so far! We’ve tried Red Lobster and Captain’s Boil, and this is definitely our favorite. It’s a bit pricey, but to be fair, seafood boil restaurants are generally expensive anyway. 😄 Our only wish is that the combo came with more corn and potatoes—two pieces of each just wasn’t enough! The service was absolutely top-tier. We genuinely felt like VIPs the entire time. Our server was amazing, although I forgot to ask for her name. She’s petite with short hair, and she was so friendly and attentive. We loved her! We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re craving a seafood boil.
