If you love Filipino dishes you'll love Bernardo's. I am lucky enough to have relatives who cook for the family and know the authentic stuff when I taste it, my partner and I both love the food here! My gf has previously ordered here a few times and I finally came along to try some too. Today I ordered the sisig which is to die for, it's so savoury and just a tiny bit spicy, the pork and onion compliment one another perfectly. My gf ordered the spaghetti and it is delicious as well, not too sweet and the hotdogs they use in it are really tasty too! For a small container of sisig and the medium container of spaghetti I think we paid about $25 (I decided to have rice at home, lol) and it's more than enough to feed both of us. As I'm writing this we are putting away half to finish later 😁 The staff are also awesome here and patient, willing to explain the dishes, as it's understood that not everyone knows Filipino dishes. I asked about the pork and onion dish and they explained it was made with face and ear and would be very tender and fatty. This was a very good description and I'm glad I got it! Overall a great place to get take out or have a nice meal to sit in the food court with. 5/5 will be returning and recommending to my friends!
First impressions last! We first went to Bernardo’s and were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, including the owners. We originally just wanted to check out their food, but we ended up ordering—and we’re so glad we did! From dining at the food court to ordering their party trays, we’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences. The food is not only delicious, but their excellent customer service makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommended—not just for everyday meals, but also for parties!
Had a lunch date with my friend. She's Filipino and showed me this place. I got excited when Dinuguan was displayed as I haven't eaten it since I was 16 years old. The coconut taste in the Beef curry was perfectly blended. 👌 Will be returning for the whole fried Fish next time. 😋
I've been there twice and both dishes were absolutely AMAZING!! I'm from Japan, but somehow their food makes me feel like I'm home. Very tasty and comforting✨️ Also I found that owner update daily's menu on their fb and I think it's nice! I'll definitely come back again and again! Thank you😊
The food is AMAZING!! Best I’ve had in my life!! The staff was so so sweet, and even offered free soup!! 🫶 If you find yourself in mill woods definitely check this place out!!! 100/10 stars ⭐️
