Highly recommend giving them a try. Food, drinks and service were simply excellent! Taste of red tea and pad Thai brought me back to my younger days when we used to vacation in Thailand frequently. Ann is an amazing server and took great care of us. Food also came out super fast and piping hot. Portions were huge, couldn’t even finish half. 20 bucks for a humongous plate is really affordable. 10 stars for this amazing Thai restaurant in Edmonton !

I ordered dinner for the family via Uber Eats. We have dined here before and it has been fine. Today though was inedible. The chicken satay was burnt and dry. The pad Thai was dry and flavourless. And the Pad-ka-pow was gross, had zero flavor, the pork tasted like nothing and the whole dish smelled off. The only dish that was remotely close to food was the green curry. What a waste of time and money. 💸

Finally made it here for supper and it definitely lived up to the hype as some of the best Thai food in the city. We’ve been to many other places like Syphay and Noi Thai and prefer this place. The drunken noodles were amazing - the way the thick rice noodles were charred a bit to have some crispy bits along side the chewiness and the delicious sauce was outstanding. The cashew chicken dish here was also the best I’ve had in Edmonton. 10/10

Boualouang Laos & Thai Cuisine is a true gem in Edmonton’s Chinatown! I’ve been craving authentic Southeast Asian flavors, and this family-run spot delivered beyond expectations. From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. We started with the zesty papaya salad – perfectly spicy and refreshing – followed by the aromatic Tom Yum soup that had just the right balance of lemongrass, lime, and heat. The green curry was creamy, flavorful, and packed with fresh veggies and tender chicken, while the Pad Thai was spot-on: tangy, nutty, and loaded with shrimp. We finished with mango sticky rice for dessert, which was sweet, sticky perfection. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and truly authentic – like a trip to Thailand and Laos without leaving the city. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the service was attentive even on a busy night. I’ve tried many Thai places in Edmonton, but Boualouang stands out as the top choice. Highly recommend – we’ll be back soon!
