Nice clean place with friendly helpful staff. I had the best donair ever and my wife had a huge meal with grilled chicken rice and some veggies for $13. The regular size donair is probably enough for most people.
I had a great experience at Captain Shawarma. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly, but what really stood out to me was the cleanliness of the place. The dining area was well-maintained, and the washroom in particular was exceptionally clean and well-kept, which is something I always appreciate when visiting a restaurant. It’s clear they take hygiene seriously. Overall, a very pleasant visit—I’ll definitely be coming back!
It has switched ownership since my last visit, but the food is still great! The menu is the exact same but staff is different. Never had a bad meal here, but this is my go to for the French fries sandwich. Growing up we called the poor man’s shawarma…fries, mayo coleslaw, ketchup and toum( Lebanese garlic sauce)…a must try! I also recommend the falafel wrap. Atmosphere is not the best due to the 87ave construction but the restaurant is clean and cozy.
Dropped by Captain Shawarma to give it a try — ordered the mix wrap and was genuinely impressed. The flavors were spot on, the portion generous, and everything tasted fresh. The place is clean, welcoming, and has a great vibe. I’ll definitely be back. Glad I found this spot!
Absolutely love this place! Captain Shawarma and Donair in the west offers amazing service and even better food. The chicken shawarma is full of flavor—juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly wrapped. The beef donair is equally awesome—tender and delicious with just the right amount of sauce. Staff are friendly and quick. Highly recommend if you're craving quality shawarma or donair!
