La Morenita

We had an amazing experience at La Morenita! We made a reservation for about 25 people, and everything was perfectly organized. The service was attentive, friendly, and handled our large group smoothly without any issues. The food was absolutely delicious — especially the tacos, full of flavor and authentic taste. And the micheladas were a huge hit, perfectly prepared and refreshing! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect place for group gatherings and celebrations. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Mexican food, excellent service, and a fun experience. We will definitely be coming back!!!

If you love authentic Mexican food then this place is a must try! Driven by this place many times and never thought of trying, but extremely pleased that we did! Definitely some of the best Mexican food we’ve had in Edmonton. This joint has actually won 1 of 8 awards for most authentic Mexican food restaurants outside of Mexico. The owners Alfredo and Angie( I believe) are super friendly/welcoming and you can see how much pride they take in their business and food! We did not have one bad dish…all were fresh and delicious! My favourite was the burrito, but we’re excited to come back to try the huevos rancheros for breakfast…I believe they open at 9 with full menu! Will definitely be back and recommend this place without hesitation.

Our second visit was just as impressive. The owners are remarkably friendly and kind. The food is outstanding. The owners even treated us to free food while we waited. This Mexican restaurant remains our top choice. 11/10! Highly recommended!

La Morenita (lil brown girl): A Hidden Gem in my neighbourhood -During a walk in search of a cafe, we stumbled upon La Morenita, a delightful Mexican spot that has been around for two years. What a gem we found! The owner and staff greeted us with amazing warmth. While my amigo enjoyed a beer, I indulged in a perfectly crafted cocktail and shared a huge helping of fries served with guacamole beans cheese . The presentation was beautiful, as shown in the attached picture. I ordered another cocktail because it was just that good. I will definitely return, especially since there is live music for Father's Day tomorrow. It's just a walk from Shoppers on 118th Avenue, making it a convenient and charming find.

Went here for tacos after seeing great reviews from edify and Google. The chips and guac were great and it was all super reasonably priced ($6 for a corona!!!). The birria taco was the star, amazing beef, full of flavour. Would come back and get a platter just of these. Other tacos were solid too but birria was the star. Great staff, very friendly. Will be back for tacos again.
