Mariachi Love

This review is long overdue.... We dined at Mariachi back in March. It was quite busy, but we only had to wait 10-15 mins to get a table. Our server seemed new and not familiar with the menu at the time. It took awhile to get beverages, and to submit our order. We ordered the quesadilla and I wanted the chicken enchiladas. It took 20 mins or so to get our orders. My spouses quesadilla was okay. Nothing spectacular. I ended up getting beef enchiladas. Our server didn't come by to check on us for awhile and when I told her that I got beef instead of chicken, she said, "Well sometimes the kitchen messes up the orders." She didn't offer to replace the items (I still had 2 full ones left). The flavour for our meals was just okay. It's not traditional Mexican food or seasonings. If you want more traditional Mexican food, go 10 mins south of St. Albert and go to Smokin Barrels. Way better food! (I have chatted with a few other friends that live in St. A, and have dined here. They all said the same thing. It was good to go and try it once, but wouldn't go back. I know that I should have written the review when we first went, but it still doesn't change the experience. Yes, the restaurant could have dealt with the server, but the food was still not good.)

It is a cute small restaurant that was very busy so it took some time until our order was taken. People were lined up to get a seat. My dish was a chicken chimichanga which was quite delicious nice spices, my friends had the tacos, which were just ok not too large a serving, and a quesadilla which he said was very good. My husband had the fajitas and was very impressed with the taste. A nice basket of complementary nacho chips and salsa might be an added bonus to make this a 5 star.

This was our first time here, wonderful atmosphere. The waiter knew a few regulars that came in which is great to see, really friendly place. Food was delicious! We really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely be back! 10/10 for me!

Flavours that can’t be beat. Love that the have base price for vegetarian then you add your protein cost. The Pineapple hot sauce was hands down my favourite!! We had the Elote, Nachos, Smothered burrito and Chimichanga. All of it was amazing! Churros and flan were okay but the start of the show was the main courses and appetizers.

I went to Marachi love with my wife on Valentine’s Day, and it was quite the experience. The atmosphere the service and especially the food were top-notch. We ordered the potato spirals as an appetizer, I ordered the beef asago taco and sizzling Chicken fajitas. My wife ordered the sizzling beef fajitas. And And we topped it off with a deer each my wife had the sizzling brownies, And I had the churro. Good quality food, but the price was Very good. The only thing that they didn’t have was high balls ,margaritas And sangrias. Once this place gets those things, I don’t believe we will be seeing this place at that location. I think that place will build its own. I highly recommend this place
