This is my wife and I's favourite restaurant in St. Albert. So much so, that we booked the whole dining room for our rehearsal dinner a couple nights before our wedding last July. It ended up being one of our fondest memories. It was so amazing that we've had several of our friends and family tell us that they STILL think about it almost a year later. Whether it's the mouth-watering steak (beef tenderloin) or the one-of-a-kind hand-prepared Caesar salad, or the uniquely flavored Arctic char, their food is unforgettable. I literally can't eat at the Keg anymore, the Riverbank is that good. We save up to go here twice a year. It's worth our hard-earned money, and we love supporting local. As for the service, we were blown away how the management (especially Connor) went above and beyond to accommodate our needs for the rehearsal dinner. Whether it was helping with the table layout, the menu, taking people's orders, remembering names, or dealing with the kids running around. The deep purple room feels very royal, and the patio is wonderful during the summer. For every meal we've had, the service is very good, and you never feel rushed. I remember the first Valentine's Day we came here, the chef modified the 3 courses on a dime for my wife's dairy allergy, and they each tasted fantastic. This is St. Albert's finest establishment, and every resident should come here at least once if they can.

My wife and I had wanted to visit Riverbank Bistro for quite some time and I decided to book a reservation for us back on March 7th and we quickly realized that we should not have waited so long. The experience was absolutely fantastic! We started out ordering some beverages from our waitress and she was an absolute gem and helped make the evening over the top but I am ashamed to say that I can’t recall her name, so sorry. I got a Ceasar and my wife got a Old fashioned that both were prepared perfectly. Then we decided on an appetizer and we went with the Pork Belly and Prawns and from the first bite this was just incredible. We didn’t think it could get any better than that, but boy were we wrong. For our entrées, my wife got the Braised Beef Short Rib and I got the Beef Tenderloin and we both cleaned the plates completely blown away by them. We shared with each other and we couldn’t sette on which was better so we will happily call it a draw for those dishes. The meat in both dishes, you didn’t need a knife if you didn’t want to because they were so tender. The goat cheese butter on the tenderloin, I asked to be put on the side and I would try it when I received the dish… won’t make that mistake again, because it was delicious and an amazing complement to the tenderloin. The mash and veggies were cooked to perfection. We honestly would not have changed a single thing, not even a little. For dessert, we went with one of our all time favorites, the Vanilla Bean Crème Brûleé. Dan, the head chef and owner of the restaurant, personally brought us out our dessert and introduced himself to us and we had a great conversation about the restaurant, how much we enjoyed our experience and our raving review of the entire evening. By the way, the dessert was so delicious (forgot to take a pic of it, oops!) and as full as we were, we cleaned that plate too. We finished our evening absolutely blown away by Dan and his entire team for making this truly, one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time, possibly even one of the best ever! We hope you go join Dan and his amazing team at Riverbank Bistro and enjoy it as much as we did. We can’t wait to go back and experience it all over again. Thanks again Dan, to you and your incredibly talented team for making this such an amazing experience. See you again soon.

We had the most beautiful Anniversary experience here! Definitely coming back soon! They DO have the best steak in town! Steak & Frites with peppercorn jus was incredible! The bison appetizer was also amazing! And the creme brulee on the house, with the little Happy Anniversary message! Awe you guys are the best!

Delicious food and fantastic service - what more could we ask for? The fact that we can walk home after to walk off the meal is a plus. If you like mushrooms, my husband says it’s the best mushroom soup. The beet salad is delicious and the pasta and short rib are also 10/10.

I had such a wonderful evening dining at this spot. The atmosphere is lovely and everything we ordered was prepared with real care. The steak was cooked perfectly and sliced beautifully on the plate. It paired so well with the side of vegetables and the mashed potatoes. Every bite was genuinely delicious. We also really enjoyed the selection of drinks. My cocktail arrived in a nice metal mug with fresh lime and berries. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish and I look forward to returning soon.
