Dined in as we heard a lot of great things about this restaurant. Calamari was tasty but for the price ($19) I felt the portion wasn't the best. Ordered lamb and beef souvlaki, everything on the plate was good except the meats. The lamb and beef were over seasoned, burnt and very tough to chew through. For the price you pay, it wasn't worth it. I was definitely slightly disappointed after hearing so many great things but at $30 a plate that meat was so poorly cooked, i expected a way better meal and experience for that price and I went in at a very slow time where only 2 tables were occupied. The presentation was good but most of the burnt sides were on the bottom.

First off my server was 👏amazing 👏 However I understand why there wasnt a single person in there for lunch rush. I LOVE calamari, this was the WORST calamari ive ever had. The squid was so chewy I basically had to force myself to eat it but I was starving and the tatziki wasnt horrible. The breading was falling right off it and even the pita was drier than a popcorn fart. Now that Greek soup, that was the only edible thing I ordered. But that, that was amazing 👏 took some home for kiddo and she also enjoyed it! Now the fish and chips was on special....id rather eat pre frozen fish sticks....it was dry and the batter had the weirdest flavor ever....for 45$ I liked the free bowl of soup they added to my fish and chips for the "special" .....then as im wrapping up to go the "owner" started yelling at someone at the door about a young disabled man in the front building sitting in the foyer opening the door for anyone walking into the building, he didnt bother me none, ive seen him at the mental health building before and he's very nice. Apparently he called the building manager? And even tho the man wasnt effecting the business at all was mad and forced them to kick him from the building.....on top of this they couldnt even make their own tartar sauce? .....this whole thing was severely unfortunate as id had this restaurant saved to my "want to go" restaurant list for almost 2 years and finally was like ok ill go.....wont be back :( owner needs to self reflect and learn to cook

I’m by no means angry or upset about my experience last night, but I feel like I should give an accurate account of our dinner. As we walked in, we were greeted pleasantly by a waitress who quickly seated us. The whole restaurant is carpeted.. not my first choice but whatever.. I’m not the one who has to clean it. It took a few minutes to see our server, despite it being rather slow, but that wasn’t a big deal. We ordered dolmades to start, which came out very quickly. For a Greek restaurant, I was surprised to see that the dolmades were just cold, store bought ones (the same ones the Italian market has). They were pretty good, and the tzatziki sauce was also good. I ordered a blueberry iced tea, it was very good. Here’s where everything went south.. I ordered the vegetable stirfry. Immediately I noticed that the vegetables were from a frozen bag (easily spotted with broccoli and cauliflower, and the carrots were cut the exact same way as frozen that would suggest a mechanical uniform slice instead of an imperfect knife slice). The menu said there were snap peas in the dish, but were not present in mine. I asked our server for some snap peas, but she informed me that they were “out of season”. Again.. not a huge deal but don’t advertise an ingredient if it’s going to come and go from the dish? Or at the very least, add a disclaimer that some items are subject to market availability. I stirred everything together after removing the raw carrots from my stirfry.. (also confirms that the veggies all came together in a frozen bag, since carrots cook much slower than broccoli and cauliflower) but there was so much sauce, it was almost unbearable to eat. It was literal soup. I slowly picked at the vegetables until I bit into a long black hair (I’m a redhead and my man is bald). I told my server that I didn’t want my dish any more (I had eaten maybe 1/6 of it.. just a few bites). She was very apologetic, and despite being very young and new to serving; she handled it quite well. Our server offered to send the manager over, but I felt it was unnecessary - I wasn’t mad.. I just didn’t want to eat what they were serving. I have managed several restaurants, and currently own a restaurant staffing company, so I think that I have a bit of experience to speak on this - if a table has that bad of an experience.. as a manager, you attempt to at least talk it out with the guest. I know that I said it was ok, but if I were the manager, I would have talked to the table instead of letting an 18 year old “new to serving” waitress try to handle the situation. Again.. I know I said it was alright, but as a manager, I would have touched that table immediately. My boyfriend ordered the haddock, and again; most of his plate was from a frozen bag. His meal started with a tiny bowl of chicken noodle.. it was not home made. The vegetables and fries on his plate were from frozen, although the fries were still relatively tasty. I can’t say much about the fish as I didn’t have any, but he said it was ok. We asked for the bill, and the stirfry was still on it. I feel like the waitress just didn’t know what to do.. but after asking about it; she removed it. The bill was still $85 for 1 meal, 1 appetizer, and a couple drinks. Considering the low quality of every dish we had, the prices are outrageous. If you want actual home made Greek food, go to Alexander’s in Stony Plain. Just a short drive away and the food is considerably better.

Amazing food, people and place. I got the veg pizza and blackened chicken. It was the best pizza and blacked chicken I’ve had in a while! I was really surprised it came out that good haha. Absolutely recommend everyone come here to grab food!

I ordered the 9 oz New York steak it was not near a 9 oz. It was dry with a fair amount of grizzle. The meal was over $40.00 I was asked if I wanted soup I replied no I would like a salad. No only comes with soup..😞 The service was good my husband ordered veal cutlets and he said it was good. Our bill with tip was $90.00 plus we had 1 coffee and a glass of water. We have come to this restaurant for many years. I am not sure if we will go back, if I want a steak it will never be from here.
