Dropped by here 2 years ago and this time for brunch on Sunday. The WE did not disappoint. We were a table of 4 foodies. We can be very critical if the food doesn't meet our satisfaction. Top marks all around. The carrot squash soup knocked it out of the park. Exceptional flavor, very creative. The cornbread is fun riff on the hueavous rancheros idea. The fresh salsa on top was a fresh delicious intro to the dish. Clearly a gifted chef.
I recently checked out The Workshop Eatery with friends and so impressed! The food here is locally sourced and the menu rotates depending on the season. We started with the Brussel Sprouts and you’ll be a fan of these even if you’ve never liked brussel sprouts in your life! Then we shared the gnocchi and the spare ribs. Both were delicious! The service was also great! Jordan, the manager, and Trina, our server, were so attentive! And we can’t forget Harry the bartender. Our drinks were SO good. Everyone made excellent recommendations and made the evening one to remember! The restaurant has ample free parking. Handicap parking is in the back if needed.
This was our first visit to Workshop for a Chefs Table Dinner. I highly recommend regardless! Chefs Table is a unique dining experience that you don’t see on their menu, it’s tailored to your party size, There is a cost per person. Drinks are not included. You’ll get to experience an exquisite 5 course meal, your chef will explain each unique dish (you can inquire about the Chefs table experience on line, you are required to book in advance) Workshop Eatery will inquire on how curious you are to try new foods on a 1-10 scale, including allergies ect. From the time of booking to the completion of your Chefs Table experience is seamless. Food was very flavourful, well balanced, presentation was well done & full of vibrant color. We were all stuffed. 😋 I will definitely be back for another Chefs Table experience; not one is the same. Thank you Chef Janna 🩷 for your delicious meal!
We were visiting a friend in Edmonton to just 'get away' for a couple of days. We wanted to eat out and our friend recommended Workshop. We managed to get a reservation and arrived on time and the place was hopping busy (usually a good sign). We were happy to wait but Jordan the Manager greeted us and offered us a seat at the bar and a free Appy while we waited. That was a generous offer. The bartender Harry was amazing. Watching him craft his cocktails quickly, efficiently, it was clear he knew his stuff and was very proficient. We asked what he was making and he discussed options and we chose some unique drinks that were absolutely fabulous. Trina was our server, assisted by Sophie the hostess/Servers assistant. Together those four made our experience there to be wonderful. And we dined. small plates shared amongst the three of us...brussel sprouts, Arancini, smoked short ribs that fell off the bone (so tender), garlic gnocchi and more. We had a great time, enjoying great food and served by great people. Next time we return to Edmonton, we are coming back here for a repeat experience.
Best restaurant experience I've had in years! Went for our 10th anniversary and we're blown away with not just the amazingly flavourful food and immaculate presentation, but also the staff and service. Thank you to all the staff who were so welcoming and kind, it really made our night special. We will be back! (The goose outside was also very polite.)
