Had a really fun time at Ice Palace Skating Rink! The ice was very smooth and well-maintained, which made skating feel great. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the rental skates were in good condition and comfortable to use. Overall, it was a great experience and I had a lot of fun. Definitely recommend for a fun day out!
I came here for my hockey team 5 years ago for a tournament. We arrived from Saskatoon. The mall and the ice palace are both beautiful and well built and laid out. It’s easy to get around except around Christmas break and other major holidays. Weekends are usually quite busy, but not as busy on weekdays. It’s pretty clean but some areas it could use a little more effort to keep it clean. The food is exceptional and tastes amazing I really liked it while I was there, and had a very fun and exciting time with my team. I recommend checking the mall and the Ice Palace out.
It's pretty cool that an ice rink of this size is sitting in the West Edmonton Mall and available year-round. Price is a bit steep at $16 per adult or older kid, but it's an all day pass so you can come and go as you wish during their business hours. Skate hires cost extra, but helmets can be hired for free. Not sure how often the ice gets Zamboni-ed, as the ice surface was pretty rough during both our times on the ice (we skated and went back for another round later). Fun for the family and a nice way to spend some time in the Mall. Recommended
Wait a really great hockey tournament weekend here. Super fun. Awesome atmosphere mall unfortunately is a little bit outdated. Tons of great stuff
16$ for general all day pass (age 11 to 54) and free for age 2 years and under. They have senior price for +55 years on weekdays just only 5$. 6$ for skate rental. Recommend to pay 10$ for the orange seal if you're a beginner, it'll help you a lot.
