The purpose of my visit was to view the exhibit of Lakeview Resort. My grandparents owned Lakeview Resort and I spent every summer there right into my teens. It was fantastic to see the snippets of the history and my grandfather's base fiddle. I have a few photos and artifacts that I will bring in to expand the exhibit. I still use my grandfather's desk that was in the office there and I use it everyday. So glad someone thought to capture this moment in music history in the Edmonton area. Thank you
I’ve lived in Sherwood Park for 30 years, and hadn’t been to the museum since it first opened. I visited with my parents today and we were so impressed! It’s bigger than it looks from the outside, it’s super well curated and maintained, and it was just such an interesting collection of items and photographs. The women working there were really lovely and enthusiastic as well; the whole experience was just excellent.
Such a beautiful and educational experience, although we weren’t there to stay for a while we got a goodie bag with souvenirs, and a cute scavenger hunt, pins and fun facts. #GoEastOfEdmontonAdventure
Its a museum full of history of Strathcona County. The admission is free however you are encouraged to donate. Cool place to check out with children too
My kids and I have been participating in the drop in homeschool program and they have been really enjoying it. The sessions are very well thought out and organized and they are fun and interactive for the students. My kids say they can’t wait for the next one!
Keep exploring
