Mr. Lube Edmonton

Fantastic experience from start to finish! I pulled right in with no appointment and the team got to work immediately. I love that you can just stay in your car while they handle everything. The service was incredibly fast, efficient, and surprisingly affordable. They even cleaned my windows and checked my tire pressure. I will definitely be coming back for my next oil change!

My first experience was excellent. I brought my car in and stayed while they worked on it. The team was careful, thorough, respectful, and communicated clearly about the work being done. I was genuinely impressed and satisfied with the service, which is why I decided to return six months later. Unfortunately, my second experience was the complete opposite. This time, I left the vehicle with them and went out for lunch with a friend after being told the car would be ready in about two hours. When I returned two and a half hours later, my vehicle was still sitting there with the tires removed and nobody working on it, while the staff were busy with other vehicles. When I asked for an update, I was told “about half an hour,” but the vehicle was not ready until 5:30 PM after being dropped off at noon. To make matters worse, three of the tire lug nuts were damaged. The damage was clearly fresh, but instead of taking responsibility, the supervisor immediately tried to shift the blame by asking where I had the work done previously. When I told him it was actually their shop, he had no response, yet they still refused to admit responsibility. The biggest issue here is the inconsistency in professionalism and accountability. One visit showed excellent workmanship and communication, while the next demonstrated poor time management, lack of honesty, and disregard for the customer’s time. From my experience, it seems that if you stay there and watch while the work is being done, your vehicle gets proper attention and is completed on time. However, once you leave the vehicle and are no longer present, it feels like the priority shifts toward impressing customers who are waiting in person, while other vehicles are left unattended for hours. The shop clearly has capable workers, but the overall service standard is inconsistent and unreliable, which is disappointing.

Horrible customer service. Overcharged for a mistake they made. The recent negative reviews are reflective of the experience you will have. The lower price will be offset by additional fees paid due to the technician’s own incompetence. When asked for manager contact, Harjeet said call tomorrow instead of taking responsibility for their mistake. They even tried to get a signature to sign off on their error and made me pay for it. If you are the manager reading this, take this as a heads up that your techs will cause many more bad reviews.

I'm not sure if ownership or management changed recently, but I attended here last Saturday for an oil change and was told my transmission fluid needed to be changed, and I was also told I should get the rust spray for the underside of my car. So I did the services without researching and paid almost $700. I was asked to come back in a couple days to re-check my transmission fluid as it was so dirty and they would do it again for free if needed. I went back last night and they did it free, but then I was told, my brake fluid needed to be flushed and was told it was $400, but that they would charge me $300 because I was a repeat customer. They tried to make me pre-pay and the invoice was $360. I said I would come back, but I called my normal Fountain Tire and they told me they charge $125 for a brake flush and that their transmission fluid change was also slightly lower than what I just paid at Mr. Lube. I now have a very bad taste in my mouth and will never attend this location again, probably never attend another Mr. Lube again if I'm being honest, as I just feel like they took advantage of me because I am a woman, and then since it worked on Saturday, they tried again. People l, me included, are already struggling in this economy and being swindled out of more, really upsets me.

I had a great experience at Mr. Lube thanks to Iqbal. He was very professional, friendly, and explained everything clearly before doing the service. He worked efficiently and made sure my car was taken care of properly. It’s always nice dealing with someone who genuinely cares about the customer experience. I highly recommend asking for Iqbal if you visit this location!
