I wanted to update my review because I really appreciate how Popular Bakery handled the situation. After there was a misunderstanding with my original order, they went out of their way to make the mini buns for me and even personally delivered them to Mona’s Pizza. I honestly wasn’t expecting that, and I really appreciated the effort they made to make things right. Mistakes and misunderstandings can happen in any business, but what matters most is how they are handled. Their customer service afterward was excellent, and they showed that they genuinely care about their customers and their reputation. Thank you to the team at Popular Bakery for taking care of everything and going above and beyond. I really appreciate it and would definitely recommend them.

Great bread (white brown whole wheat ) but I want my bread unsliced because they slice it to thick. If I come in after 9 AM I can’t get unsliced. Why can’t they keep a few loaves around unsliced during the full day. That shouldn’t be such a difficult thing to do. Please do this.

Great food - the portugueses sandwich is a low-cost but very healthy and protein packed item, the custard was quite delicious as well. Server seemed to be annoyed that I requested a portuguese sandwich 15mins before closing - even sighing audibly after my order - only reason for a 4 not a 5! Otherwise, delicious :)

This has been my go-to bakery for a few months. The Portuguese buns are life-changingly delicious - I always end up eating one straight out of the bag during the drive home, no butter or anything. The natas are the best in Edmonton by a long shot, and probably the best I've had in Canada. The bread is also good, especially for the price. The staff are friendly, fast, and patient, in my experience. I also really admire how this business serves as a social hub for the Portuguese community. Most mornings, the place is packed with regulars bantering in Portuguese over espressos and pastries. It's a very special atmosphere.
