Chantall and Mitch run a friendly, comfortable and unbelievably delicious bakery right in Red Brick Common (downstairs). I wish the photo did justice to the cake! It was GORGEOUS and exactly as requested (chocolate and peanut butter!) with colours to match our scheme. More people took cake home than the rest of the food. Chantall was easy to work with and willing to extend herself to help us have a great occasion! Mitch built us a custom made box so we could take the remainder of the work of art home too. Also, the spinach dip was incredibly delicious. As requested, she put her artistic touch on the scrumptious sourdough bread container which I failed to notice before taking a bite. Hahahaha. The cinnamon buns are next level.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I definitely would. We picked up three loaves, chocolate chip cookies and cinnamon buns. We couldn't wait to dive in and start tasting everything. The cookies are better than my grandma could ever make and the dill pickle sourdough..are you kidding me!? The best food made by the best people!! Can't wait to go back!!
Chantal is the Michelangelo of sourdough! This is honestly the best sourdough I’ve ever had. It was the perfect balance of fluffy and dense, with just the right amount of tang. We bought the smoked cheddar, jalapeño cheddar and bacon and herb, and all are extremely flavorful and rich. Chantal is extremely generous with the toppings; and you can see thick bands of cheddar running through the bread. This sourdough is so good it managed to displace spaghetti as the star of our dinner. 4 hours later we’re still talking about it. She also makes incredible cookies and cinnamon buns, and even sells brownie dough and pancake mix! This place gets all the bonus points for using organic, non-GMO flour. So often I feel unwell after eating commercial store-bought bread because of all the preservatives but I felt great after eating this. The bakery itself is beautiful, being located in a lovely historic building that adds to the cozy feel of the place. If you haven’t been yet, all I can say is this place is 100% worth a trip.
It’s so good you’ll want to buckle it up for the ride home. No but seriously best sourdough products in Stony and Edmonton area! AMAZING - yes that’s fresh cut and steamy still! A must try! And cherry on top is it’s locally sourced ingredients!
The white chocolate cranberry sourdough loaf is delicious! Yes, that's one of the flavour options. They also have cookies and other items. There was a very friendly young lady at the counter when I was there.
Keep exploring
