Elsafadi Mediterranean Supermarket

Guy that sells deli meat (i asked about pastirma/dried meat) has a weird sense of humour. When i asked when theyd restock so i could come back on a later date, I was told theyd restock tomorrow, next week or today next year🤣. Not worth 25 mins of drive from west end haha. Im not 100% sure but i was told all pastirma you get in Edmonton gets distributed from somewhere in Quebec, it tastes great if you can get your hands on it. Ill just try another place

Absolutely disgusting store. I reached out to pick up some fruit and put it in a bag, and literally hundreds of fruit flies flew out. The fruit section was absolutely infested with bugs. This is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable.🤮and could easily bring fruit flies into your home. I highly recommend the other Al Safadi Supermarket instead—it is large, extremely well-organized, and very clean. The difference between the two stores is unbelievable. I definitely won’t be shopping here again.

All items there are Halal, variety of products, specially the Arabic ones. Diary and meats are also available and fresh. 2 branches are there in the city

This store is so dirty and it smells like sewage, this store should investigated by OHS!! What’s up with children working here? Forcing child labour here?? They don’t even look 16 years of age 😳, I still yet haven’t seen an adult working here. Everything in this place is so cramped in, you can barely walk without elbowing the other customer next to you. Customers beware, this some shady business going on here…

All things Mediterranean. Love this place for its fresh food and good selection of fruits and vegetables. We always get the Tzatiki, Dolma (grape leaves)and Fatayar made fresh by Elsafadi. Fresh cheese and olives at the Deli bar are great. Unbelievable selection of different types of olive oil. Just a great middle eastern supermarket. It’s packed full so narrow isles, it’s clean and well lit. Staff is friendly and courteous.
