WestGate Halal Meat & Deli/ Mediterranean foods

Not consistent experience. I shopped once and I was very happy with the service and products. Another time the place smelled badly, the clerk ignored me and the product didn't have price attached, and I certainly overpaid. The best business practice is to keep standards high, clean frequently and provide training to all employees. I am ready and willing to expand my shopping beyond big box grocery chains, but the experience has to be consistent. Please improve and I will shop more frequently.

Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve been disappointed by this place. This time, it was the burger patties. They were nothing like real beef—not in color, texture, or even appearance. The patties were extremely hard and rubbery, almost like plastic, and very difficult to chew. They didn’t look, feel, or taste like quality beef at all. On top of that, $24 for 10 frozen patties is extremely expensive for what you get. For that price, I could go to Northside and get fresh meat instead. After being disappointed twice, I definitely won’t be coming back. I do not recommend this place.

I usually never give such bad reviews to places however this one caught my eye when I bought a variety of items and snacks when I later noticed the expiry is 2 MONTHS PAST THE DATE!!! I thought ok.... I understand 1 day, 2 days past expiry date but 2 months! Im sorry.. that is just too much! The prices are somewhat ok... but the food itself is not fresh, I understand its partially my fault as well for not checking the expiry date, However as a growing company we should put on our big boy pants and care for us customers, not give old products. This is not the firs time this has happened. It happen previous times as well as I have been shopping there over the last year. Hope this message gives you a better idea on Westgate Halal and their values towards their customers

I had a wonderful experience with their meat section, especially with Alaa. She is amazing and extremely helpful. I regularly order chicken and beef, and they always cut them exactly the way I request. I have also ordered marinated chicken and kafta, and everything was prepared beautifully and with great care from Alaa.. The quality and service are consistently excellent. Highly recommended!

Awesome staff, good Mediterranean needs and food freshly cooked in store. You can also buy asian spices. Meat selection is good. The butchery department always listen to your needs and if needed they'll cut the meat for you as requested. Visiting this family store from a decade. I can buy KDD chocolate milk here, my favorite 😍
