​I cannot say enough incredible things about Dr. John Petrut and the entire team at Dr. Pet. We recently went through a health scare with our dog, Roomba, who needed a spay surgery alongside a concerning potential case of Pyometra. From the exact moment we walked through the door, we knew Roomba was in the absolute best hands. ​The level of medical expertise, compassion, and sheer dedication we experienced here was nothing short of exceptional. Dr. Petrut and his staff treated Roomba like a member of their own family, keeping us informed and completely confident in their care during an incredibly stressful situation. ​But what truly sets Dr. Pet apart is their integrity. Never in our lives have we experienced such phenomenal, high-caliber veterinary care paired with such incredibly reasonable prices. In an industry where it often feels like clinics are trying to gouge every last cent out of worried pet owners, Dr. Petrut proved that his absolute priority is the health and well-being of the animal. They focus entirely on saving and caring for your pet, not inflating your bill. ​The warmth, professionalism, and honesty of this staff completely blew us away. We have officially found our "Fur-ever vet" and will never take any of our animals anywhere else. If you are looking for a veterinary team you can genuinely trust with your pet's life, look no further. They are the absolute gold standard. Our dog had an absess causing a lot of pain. Dr Petrut was able to see him same day AND on a Sunday. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things very well. His staff were caring and friendly. It was so nice to see a vet that didn't charge ridiculous fees on a weekend. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Thank you so much for the care you gave. ❤️

My wife and have I known Dr. Petrut while he was on the westside at Parkwest Vet. Was very compassionate ,thoughtful and caring for our dog before and he spotted a large mass our dogs left leg. After the passing of our dog Marley a few months later. I ran into the good doctor and family last year were looking to move to Beaumont and open up a business here. A year later and in the Beaumont news of a new vet in town called Dr. Pet and sure enough there was Dr. Petrut and his family completing the relocation. I’m happy to say that we had to call them up last Sunday and say hi and tell him I had a sick golden retriever and they’ve got her in right away and it was so good to see everyone, including the good Doctor! After a thorough exam on top of potentially another issue that she’s currently dealing with, the good doctor has given her the magic medicine and our Lola is almost back to normal! So happy that they are residing here in Beaumont. With over 30 years of experience of veterinary care, I can’t recommend them enough and they’re open on Sundays!

I am so happy Dr. Pet opened in Beaumont. They are open on Saturdays and Sundays to better serve our community. We recently took our dog in for her regular vaccinations. The exam and injections were very reasonably priced. Dr. John Petrut was kind and caring. He took the time to explain a common condition in small dogs. We also discussed canine diets. I'd highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality pet care.

I 100% recommend this vet. Not only did they help us during an emergency, but they handled the situation quickly and were extremely knowledgeable. They truly care about helping your animal and do not take advantage of you when you’re in a desperate situation. I also love that they’re open later than most other vets and are available on weekends. I’ve already recommended them to all my friends and family, and we switched from our usual vet immediately!
