Hastings Lake Animal Hospital

This is the only place you should be taking your pet. Period. Let me break down my experience for you. Took my pet to another vet, it was a stray cat, they told me that the stray cat was about 3-5 years old. Didn't feel so comfortable with the purple hair and the level of care there so I drove the 50km to Hastings, Dr. Karen quickly stated that my cat was a big cat, most likely part Bengal and is under a year old. She fixed up my cat, gave him the proper injections, microchip, fixed whatever infection was making my cat's urine smell really bad, which also cleared up his voice. She isn't just knowledgeable, she is the absolute authority in my pet's lives, I only trust her, Amelia, and the staff at Hastings with the welfare of my pets. Yes, Hastings is 50km further away, yes, understood, but honestly... how often do you go to the vet? Couple of times a year? Yes, Hastings is 50km away, but I can guarantee you that this level of care is worth much more than an hour of my time. This is the life of my cat, and the happiness of my family, an hour out of my time is not a factor I should take into consideration when it comes to that. Go there, these people are knowledgeable, and they care.

We have recently dealt with Hastings Lake on a few occasions and they were truly amazing. Dr Karen and her team were phenomenal to my dog Ryley. Ryley was a stray that we caught and she was a sad state when she was caught. Dr Karen and her team fixed her up and we have been going there every since. She was recently spayed and it was the cleanest stitch I have ever seen. And great customer service. I highly reccomend them.

So glad to have Dr.Karen and staff (special mention of Miranda, Jake's buddy) looking after our boys. You never rush us and you always make sure Jake and Goober get what they need. Thank you for being there, especially during this difficult time with Jake's cancer. We appreciate all of you more than you'll ever know.

Friendly, attentive, respectful and understanding. Rooms are clean. The best service your pets can get. The only ones I trust with my service dog.

I wouldn't want to take my pooches to anyone else. I appreciate the dental discount that is offered yearly. The animals react with excitement when we go visit karen and staff, so that is reassuring too!
