Brendan is an exemplary physiotherapist. He spends time with you. He brings you into the gym and works through the exercises with you the entire time. He shows you exactly how to do them, gives feedback on your form, and adapts the plan based on your condition each session. He isn’t like some other physios that see you for 10 minutes, print out some exercises on a sheet of paper, then get an assistant to apply TENS and heat and send you on your way. You can tell that he cares about his patients improving and he’s not just there for the money. Brendan is an incredibly friendly and welcoming guy. He builds rapport with his patients by showing genuine interest in their life and wellbeing outside of the context of just physical injury. I have no doubt that he can put any patient at ease no matter what physical hardship they are facing. Brendan deserves to be on a podium for his commendable work. He is truly a goliath of the industry. Please give him a try if you’re searching for a new physiotherapist.
Julia is a fabulous trainer. I have been her client for three years. The changes is my functional fitness, strength and agility is amazing. She has helped ne to improve leaps and bounds all while preventing any injuries. She identifies and implements carefully scripted training plans. I cannot say enough good about my experience. Make the jump and see the improvement! Truly satisfying and you feel strong and capable!
I've been running for several years, and last year I was dealing with severe shin splints that threatened to derail my training. As race season approached this spring, I knew I wanted to address the root of the problem—not just manage the pain. I was looking for a physiotherapist who would equip me with the knowledge, exercises, and tools to prevent the injury from returning and help me become a stronger, healthier runner. Working with Nathan Monteiro at Podium Physio has been one of the best decisions I've made for my running. Thanks to his expertise, guidance, and individualized approach, I've remained injury-free throughout this training season. More importantly, he's helped me understand why injuries happen, how to prevent them, and how to build strength and resilience for the long term. I truly credit Nathan and the entire Podium Physio team for the success I've had this season. I wouldn't have been able to train with the same confidence, consistency, or enjoyment without their support. They've given me the knowledge and confidence to take control of my training, and I now feel far better equipped to stay healthy as I continue pursuing my running goals. Beyond the exceptional care, everyone at Podium Physio is welcoming, encouraging, and genuinely invested in their clients' success. Their support has made all the difference, and I can't recommend them highly enough to anyone looking to recover from an injury or prevent one before it starts.
I initially chose Podium Physiotherapy because of its convenient location, and I’m so glad I did. Brendan was quick to respond to my initial email inquiries, and his communication has been excellent from the very beginning. I booked my first appointment shortly after and have been seeing him on a weekly basis ever since. I’ve been dealing with chronic back pain due to a disc protrusion, as well as hip pain, and I’ve noticed consistent improvement since starting treatment. I’ve also incorporated chiropractic care with Dr. Zach, which has been a refreshing and effective change from more traditional chiropractic approaches that hadn’t worked for me in the past. The combination of physiotherapy and chiropractic care has made a noticeable difference. I have complete confidence in this team and truly believe these knowledgeable, skilled professionals will have me back to feeling normal and pain-free very soon. And although they do focus on athlete recovery, that’s definitely not their only focus. Don’t let that intimidate you! I’m not an athlete and have always felt welcome and like I fit right in. I almost hesitate to leave this review…purely out of selfishness…because I don’t want Brendan or Dr. Zach to get so busy that I can’t book in. That said, they absolutely deserve the recognition.
Highly recommended! Brendan is an excellent physiotherapist that combines deep clinical knowledge with a warm, friendly personality that genuinely motivates you during every session. I had a knee injury than surgery, and working with him for my post-surgery knee rehab has been a game-changer. I am recovering very well, and I owe a massive thank you to him and Podium for getting me back on my feet. Brendan took the time to understand my specific injury and recovery needs, clearly explained each stage of the rehabilitation process, and adjusted my treatment as I progressed. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing physiotherapy!
