Spruce Grove Clinic

I have been going to this clinic since it opened, followed my doctor there from another building. I must say, it's been fantastic! Yesterday I phoned at 830am and was able to see the doctor, get blood work & and x-ray all done within 1.5 hours! WOW! This is what health care should be like and thank you so much for providing that. ❤️

This clinic is very busy and always booked. My doctor is supposed to be Dr.Penrod, but she is always booked and next appointments are 2 months away!! When I asked for options to get a closer appointment time, the receptionist said to call every morning at 8:30 to check for cancellations. I had already done that, but had to hang up after 10 minutes on hold with no answer as I work in a school and first thing in the morning is not a good time. I tried explaining this to the receptionist and she became rude with me. She asked if I wanted to speak to the car coordinator for the doctor to see if they could help me. I asked if they would be able to help me and she said “maybe, you can see”. So she transferred me to the care coordinator where I went to an answering machine that specifically said to call the main line for any questions regarding appointments and no messages regarding appointments would be returned. As if the rude receptionist didn’t know that! I am incredibly frustrated with this clinic and their lack of appointments and lack of care. If doctors weren’t so hard to come by, I would definitely change clinics!

Drs are great but the admin staff here are horrible. And we just found out that our dr who just joined the practice a few years ago is leaving and they are not backfilling her and we are SOL. They basically told my wife (who has been a patient here since she was a baby) and our whole family that it sucks to suck and we should look elsewhere.

Dr Quinn is the best doctor I have ever had the privilege of being his patient. But he recently referred me to Dr Hlushak for neck pain I was experiencing. He scheduled me for an MRI which I had on December 20th. The results were I have spinal stenosis. Dr Hlushak subsequently called me and told me to go to emergency which totally confused me and he called me twice about this. When he called me yesterday I questioned why I should go to emergency and he basically told me that if something serious developed he didn’t want to be responsible. Consequently I went to emergency yesterday and after waiting 10 hours a doctor saw me and couldn’t understand why Dr Hlushak would tell me to go to emergency. This has been an extremely traumatic experience for me and I don’t believe Dr Hlushak should be allowed to practice medicine

Was referred to this clinic via my family doctor for a vasectomy. Dr Laidlaw was friendly , professional , caring and gentle in all aspects of the procedure. Fast forward 6 months and I have zero complications and the procedure was successful. Highly recommend Dr Laidlaw to any man looking to have this procedure done.
