From a quick pleasant making a appt was a breeze! It was hardly a wait and was very accommodating. They even texted me to not forget my nightguard! My smile is the biggest smile 😃 Thanks team at Swish Dental for making me feel seen and important. I will see you when cleaning will be needed!
Very disappointed on the unclear charges and the unnecessary charges on the exam and the exams done. The staff never explained the charges and kind of slide it in a way that you are not paying for it.. your insurance does but without realizing that there is something called ethics which this dental office does not have. Nice facility but go there if you want to be charged with unnecessary charges and they will charge you without explaining. Avoid this place. There are so many other dentist in the town.
I am posting another review because I am genuinely shocked by the dental assessment I received at this clinic. In my opinion, what happened borders on negligence and unethical behaviour. For additional context, please see my previous review under the name “Saluha.” After my visit to Swish Dental and them refusing to correct the failed dental work they did on me, I sought a second opinion from another dentist who carefully reviewed my X-rays and examined the filling work that had been done. After a full oral exam and reviewing the imaging, they told me I only had one or two very minor cavities remaining. This was extremely concerning to hear because Swish Dental had previously told me I had 7–10 cavities and even suggested that I might need a root canal on a tooth that was otherwise healthy. I had mentioned that I experienced occasional pain at one point, but I also clearly stated that the pain had gone away. Despite that, they attempted to convince me to proceed with a root canal “to find out why it happened,” which felt unnecessary and very invasive. In addition, the simple cleaning I went in for turned into one of the most painful and distressing dental experiences I have ever had. The procedure felt rushed, I did not feel properly cared for, and I left the appointment feeling unheard and extremely uncomfortable. I had actually visited this clinic before under previous management and never experienced anything like this. Unfortunately, under the current management and specifically with Dr. Pele, my experience was completely different. This clinic promotes itself as a low-cost or “most affordable” dental option, but my experience made me question whether patients are being told this just so they are later told they need significantly more dental work than they actually do. It felt like I was being pressured toward expensive treatments that I now am certain were not necessary. Because of this experience, I strongly recommend that anyone who is told they need extensive dental work at this clinic SEEK A SECOND OPINION before proceeding. I am extremely glad that I did. I will also be submitting a formal complaint to the dental regulatory board regarding my experience so that the situation can be properly reviewed.
Our family has been going to Swish Dental, and we’ve had a consistently great experience. The service is excellent, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and professional. They make every visit comfortable and stress-free. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality dental care.
I've been a client at Swish Dental since they opened a dozen years ago (before signage even up). The clinically white and red finishing, booths, and decor from a European firm suitably reflects their technical thoroughness. (Feels 1960's Star Trek with a contemporary twist.) So the place caught my eye and I've been going every since. It commendably had an all female staff, and has since evolved to a fair mix of gender and race, whom are all very, very competent (and were always chosen thus). I am in good hands each time their expertise is required: cheerful and thorough receptionists, attentive accountant, flexible treatment coordinator, attentive hygienists, skilled and kind dental assistants, and awesome dentists who confer with you, explain what's to happen, and ensure you concur. I've gotten an implant, crowns, fillings, scaling, night guard, and follow-ups/adjustments. I was surprised how great the crowns on my two front teeth turned out. Recently, the dentist who attends me was wise to adjust tactics during a crown work appointment, and they instead planned a crown for the adjacent tooth (had a chip), and simply filled the cavity of the original target tooth (once it was reachable from preparing the adjacent tooth). The treatment coordinator was consulted and agreed to original estimated crown cost (plus a filling). This speaks to Swish' experience and concern for patients' wellbeing (and pocketbook, else I faced cost of two crowns). True, these folks love my obscure, open personality. And true, I find clinical details fascinating, and actually enjoy going to the dentist. Yet I totally recommend Swish Dental at Newcastle (Edm.,127st,167av). Go for it! :)
