Pet Planet Newcastle

My puppy and I had an amazing experience with her first grooming session with Shay!! Shay was super friendly and informative! She let me know all the details of the appointment and did a wonderful job grooming my furbaby! We will definitely be going back! This pet planet has super friendly and caring staff, I have a great time every visit!

**Edit: The Manager Megan contacted me the next day, after the incident I wrote my original review about (info below). They were very understanding of why we were upset and they asked us if they could make it right with a 1 on 1 grooming appointment with Shae at no cost because of our troubles with the situation before. We agreed, under the condition that our dog would only be groomed and handled by Shae (the main groomer) and they would take the time required to make sure our dog was comfortable. Megan also offered to be there in person to oversee the whole grooming to make sure it went well. Good news, we got her back after her make-up grooming appointment and they did a wonderful job. Our dog Ciri was washed and clean, undercoat fully blown out and her feet, face, ears, and tail were all trimmed to make her extra pretty! When my wife dropped her off and picked her up she told me the staff were very kind and accommodating, and apologized again about the original mishap. I was also advised by Megan that they would go over their groomer training to make sure these sort of events don't happen again. All in all, I am happy to change the 2⭐ review I gave them, to a 5⭐ review, with images to prove they really wanted to make the situation right and to help Ciri beat the summer heat. Thank you all at New Castle Pet Planet for going above and beyond for us. ------------------------------------------- Previous experience: TLDR: due to the handling of an inexperienced apprentice groomer, our dog was too stressed out to get groomed properly. We were asked to pick her up early and she was wet and her long fur and undercoat were matted worse than when we had brought her in. The staff apologized profusely but I was upset about the situation, since we then had to take her home, blow dry and brush her ourselves, which we go to groomers for since they have the tools to do it properly.

Friendly and helpful staff. Reliable and consistent preference for our boys grooming appointments.
