I don’t know who at D Spot decided funnel cake needed to become a full-blown personality… but give that person a raise. The hardest part of the night wasn’t choosing dessert—it was accepting that there was no possible way to try them all. Every funnel cake that came to our table was ridiculously good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, loaded with toppings, and absolutely worth every calorie. Diet starts tomorrow. (Probably.) A huge shoutout to Shanu, who was fantastic! Friendly, attentive, hilarious, and somehow managed to keep up with our dessert-induced chaos. Great service honestly makes a good experience unforgettable, and Shanu absolutely delivered. If you’re debating whether to stop here, this is your sign. Come hungry. Order the funnel cake. Ignore your inner voice telling you to share. Future You can deal with the calories. Present You deserves happiness. 🍓🍫🍦😂🍰
🎂🍰🍪🍩🧁🍦🍫, I LOVE THE WIDE SELECTION OF DIFFERENT DESSERTS and really wanted to love this place, but the experience was honestly underwhelming. While the desserts themselves tasted good, they are nowhere near worth the price tag💰💸💵. I’m still trying to figure out why it’s so expensive for what you actually get. The service was the biggest letdown. It was slow and felt completely uncaring. It took the staff almost half an hour to prepare just two crepes and a waffle. To make matters worse, we watched them serve several customers who ordered after us while we were still waiting for our food. And my younger brothers kept asking why it’s taking so long and the guy just shrugged it off and acted like he had more important priorities. 😡 If you’re looking for a sugary fix for a very special occasion and don’t mind overpaying for a "pretty okay" crepe, this might work—but otherwise, save your money. There are better ways to spend it than on slow service and overpriced sweets.💵💸💰
The Dubai chocolate strawberry cup is so amazing. I’ve ordered it many many times and I love it so much it is so good and would recommend to anyone who likes Dubai Chocolate strawberries, while more on the expensive side I find it is a delicious treat once and while, and not to mention tonight I seen they had a deal on there non alcoholic passion fruit mojitos which was buy one get one for free which you know I had to indulge in a little bit of that for me and my friend, overall love this place. Oh also I tried the funnel cake fries and absolutely loved those too, if you’re looking for a sweet treat late at night this is the perfect spot since they are open until 2 am. Okay this is an edit, just one annoying thing I would have to say is I tried to order the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup and normally I’d call and ask for it to have no milk cake but this time I called multiple times and nobody picked up the phone I’m very upset and disappointed that I spent 20 dollars and I’m not even getting what I wanted I do not like the milk cake with it so honestly just would like to say I might not be ordering again as I am very unhappy with this and don’t want to risk happening again, yet I do understand places may be busy sometimes but I called 5 times alll at separate times.
The red velvet cheesecake was absolutely amazing! The combination of rich, creamy cheesecake with the classic red velvet base was perfect. It had a smooth, velvety texture and just the right level of sweetness. The slight cocoa flavor blended beautifully with the creamy topping, making every bite feel indulgent but not too heavy. Presentation was also beautiful. Definitely a must-try for dessert lovers!
I’ve visited many D-Spot locations and I truly love their desserts. However, my recent visit to this store was not very pleasant. The staff is great as usual but the owner/manager has their own pricing structure. They charge extra for everything, unlike other locations. This is unprofessional, especially since the same item cost less online. I’ll recommend going to Calgary trail location instead.
Keep exploring
