We had the brekkie sandwich, mushroom tartine, smoked salmon tartine, and the schnitzel. We also tried the cinnamon waffle sticks. Everything was good. The staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable as well. The only downside was that there weren't a lot of brunch options on the menu. Overall, we had a great experience and would come back.

Really well decorated restaurant with multiple good items. The hot honey chicken and crab cake were both tasty. The bread pudding was not too sweet and the crispy bread crumbs on top goes well with the soft base, definitely worth it. The portions for the appetizers and mains are a bit small but this is a slightly upscale spot so that's expected.

A thoroughly enjoyable, one-of-a-kind Edmonton spot with original, flavourful dishes, beautiful design, genuine owner care, and one of the most thoughtful family-friendly washroom setups in the city. For a fuller picture — Happy & Olive, Edmonton, West End / 142 Street area offers one of the more original and thoughtfully styled dining experiences in the city. With memorable flavour combinations, beautiful presentation, and a menu that goes beyond breakfast alone, it feels creative, polished, and distinctly its own. What makes it stand out is how intentional everything feels. The food is creative without becoming fussy, the room is stylish without losing warmth, and the overall experience carries that rare owner-touched feeling. There is a sense that details matter here — not just in the menu, but in the way the whole place has been imagined. A special part of the visit was speaking with Andrea and learning about her deep roots in the Edmonton culinary community as a restaurateur. It is genuinely encouraging to see someone with that depth of experience bringing their best to Edmonton’s restaurant scene through flavour, design, hospitality, and care. This is also one of the more family-considerate places I have come across. The bathroom is beautiful, accessible, and includes a change station that feels genuinely well thought out. For parents, that kind of attention can make a real difference. Altogether, Happy & Olive feels like a place helping lead the way in Edmonton when it comes to restaurant design, creativity, and a more inclusive, welcoming dining experience. Easily accessible from Whitemud West and well worth the trip from elsewhere, it is the kind of place that feels memorable not only for the food, but for the care behind the whole experience. At a glance: - Original and memorable flavour combinations - Stylish, one-of-a-kind design - Strong owner presence and care - Meaningful Edmonton restaurant roots - Kid-friendly and thoughtfully family-oriented - Accessible washroom access - Looking forward to return

We were once again so incredibly impressed with H&O. The food was amazing, the service was attentive and above expectations, and the drinks were wonderful. We had the lamb, smoked salmon, beet salad, and shrimp. Everhthing was so tasty, but the lamb was the standout favourite for both me and my husband. The bartender whipped us up a dealer's choice shot 5hat was delicious, and the gin and tonic was one of the best we've ever had. Our server Emily was absolutely lovely. They were welcoming and sincere, and I would be so happy to have them as our server again. I hope we get that privilege! All in all, a fantastic experience with great food, delicious drinks, and service that makes you feel welcomed and valued.

Family of four, we could not stop raving about everything during the entire meal. It was the highlight meal of our trip out of a stand-up line up of meals. I have never been so excited about a tater tot!! But that lemon aoli will be in my dreams. The server was friendly in the way an old beloved friend is happy to see you happy. There were so many delightful things adding to the esthetic of the space from the painting of Happy & Olive to the ever changing Newspaper headline board. From start to finish, this will stand out as on of the best meals I have ever eaten.
